kane for me, Root has regressed under captaincy pressure . Root has done better then kane in subcontinet though but kane is underrated in LOI

Kane has better away avg than kohli. I'll still pick kohli as better batsman, but to say that he's a level below kohli is completely wrong.

 

Also Smith and kohli are not in the same level.. smith is in his own level and then there's kohli-kane and then root, pujara, warner etc

Root did scored a double ton in NZ last year..  I don't think Kane did well in Australia as well in fact failed in both tests.  So Root for me is still better.

Hmm I was going with recent form.  Kane failed last year in Australia badly.  I expect Root to turn it around this time.
