Gollum Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 LINK Interestingly, this is not the first time Jadeja has been involved in run-outs in Test cricket. The all-rounder, who bowls and bats left-handed, has been involved in run-outs 20 times in the 73 Test innings he has played. He has got his partner run out 13 times out of those 20 while he himself has got run out on seven occasions. The average comes close to 3.5 innings per run-out incident Shocking stat!!!!! Run out in test cricket is a crime scene. What do Indian players accomplish with these risky singles and doubles, is there a bonus award to reward risky runs? Any ICC rule I am missing? Even in ODIs he runs out his partner often, famous example being Hardik in 2017 CT F, but not that big a problem in white ball formats.
Serpico Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 desperation to get to the other side. today, he let saini take a single at the end of the over AND a double at the start of the next over against starc. Ashwin was ball watching, but even then the situation didn't really call for a tight single plus he is better batsman anyway, should be looking for farming strike. Management needs to have a chat with him about this.. as a no.7 batsman he is supposed to know how to bat with tail
Ankit_sharma03 Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 always been a problem, made a thread on this in 2019 as well
Frustrated Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Strange that such an experienced (and physicaly fit) all rounder has zero match awareness.
