graphic23
If you think Dravid out to be replaced, you are a mad man. Link to comment
coffee_rules
Uthappa. We need to a fill a Karnataka quota in the batting team.:haha: Link to comment
amits
i would go with kaif. kaif should come into the team and as a captain Link to comment
The Outsider
Let's replace him with Yuvraj, so instead of someone averaging 35 over the last 2 years we can have someone averaging 30 in his career. Link to comment

That is like averaging 80 over his career. Link to comment
Cricketics
there is no such player in India who can replace the best Indian test batsman which is Dravid.. no Ghanta Delhihite, no Ghanta Mumbaikar. no ghanta Hyderabadi, no Ghanta Bangalori, NO ghanta, No ghanta Up Wala. or any other part of India.. all suck.. no one better then Dravid.. The Outsider
But he will save 50 runs from his fielding every innings. That is like averaging 80 over his career. And he picks up wickets too. So that puts him surely over 100 in an innings. Bradman, watch out. Link to comment

Bradman' date=' watch out.[/quote'] :cantstop: Yuvraj can be an able hitter at the lower order in test matches (that is if he can get his mental approach correct). But to replace a #3 batsman, who has been prolific all around the world, I highly doubt he could do that. Link to comment
f.b.m
Mind you, his "Positive body language" should add about 15 runs to his average. But seriously speaking, India is in for a tough ride since Dravid retires. (to state the obvious) Link to comment

Dravid
amits, the king of morons, should replace him.. Link to comment
OriginalCopy
Dude, Dravid averaged 42.91 in the period of the last two years 13 Apr 2006 to 13 Apr 2008 with 3 centuries. In the same period, Yuvraj Singh has scored his 324 runs at an Avg. of 24.92. Comparing the rest is useless because they hardly or did not play any tests in this period. BTW, it is not fair to Gambhir, but his avg. in the same period was 4, though he only played one test match. When you post such crappy polls, atleast spend some time researching the facts as to who scored how many runs in what time period. Otherwise your argument is flawed to start with, no point in continuing on this thread. Mods should close this stupid thread. Link to comment
Dooks
You said it Dravid - Amits is a nutcase. Link to comment
Ram
If ANY member of the middle order doesnt play, then the default replacement is Yuvraj. There isnt even room for debate here. Link to comment

Ram
Sad but true. However, whether Yuvraj can keep that place is still uncertain. But for now, he is the automatic replacement for any vacant MO spot. Link to comment
straighttalk
test cricket is all about being defensive and keeping your wicket intact..rahul dravid for all his problems had a poor time but it is definitely not 2 years but rather a few series like south africa(2006),england(2007),pakistan (2007).this could be attributed to his mental state on relinquishing his catiancy, captaincy pressures before that and his subsequent dropping from the indian team. having said that even in the australian series thrust unwillingly in the opening spot he has batted hard to take the shine away from the new ball.he may have scored a little less but i feel that his attrition helped india a lot.if i remember his 90 odd in perth went a long long way in enabling india to win.he battled hard with ganguly in sydney and played quite well there.in the present series his 100 odd in chennai though criticized a lot was quite good.he is not batting at best but it speaks volumes that even in his bad form he is scoring runs and contributing to india's cause.this man has a 100 and a 90 in his last tests and to drop him ud be laughable.
