I am talking about the future.

The powers that be just want 250+ run matches to attract casual fans.

Pitches will become flatter and boundaries will become smaller. Any kind of potent bowling will be discouraged.

Yes But in places like Aus Eng and even in NZ (except Eden Park) pacers get their due.

Only in Subcontinent the disparity is huge and there is a mismatch of sorts

some places the nature supports fast bowling and that is bigger than any cricket power

But Ashok got hit to some very useless deliveries which were wide and short ,wide slower ones when he was already bowling well

Even in his second 6 run over ,he was bowling slowers just for the sake of it as if team doctor had asked him to do

There is still scope ,but he needs to stop banging it way short at this level and get rid of unnecessary slowers

Infact I felt bad for Tyagi maybe his 1st or 2nd game where his good deliveries were also travelling

You are right.

But I feel things will be made to change in the future.

I don't like the current trend that is becoming stronger. The trend of taking away even tiny bits of things favouring bowlers in T20s.

Was not talking about Ashok or any specific bowler's performance today.

But the intention of cricket administrators and where they want the T20 game to go in the future.

Pitches can be made flat anywhere in the world.

Boundaries can be made small everywhere.

And they are already using white balls which swing for only 3 to 4 overs even in England. Soon they will make it only 1 to 2 overs of swing possible with future white balls.

And bats will become even better in the future.

Gill striking at 155 in a long innings, in a game where every other innings of note were played at SR of 170 to 192, made this match close.

This was a super flat pitch and not easy for bowlers.

In last 3 yrs avg 1st innings ipl score in del is 190-195. This is where in delt20 league 300 runs in an innings were scored.

Inability of gill and sundar to hit 6s, was the reason of close game, this is not expected from t20i batters

His well directed pace balls abd yorkers were hot to handle for the international batters like Stubbs and KL..

The TM should let him be confident to hit pace with accuracy rather than go easy with slower ones..ofc one has to mix up but it should come as a surprise..

rather than the other way round where oace ball is a surprise now a days

Gill is poor man's babar azam. Atleast babar has 122 off 59 in south Africa which gill can only dream of

Mayank is impact sub today.

Won't play as LSG is bowling first though.

But he is getting into the scheme of things though.

wont read much into this, if he is in 15 and not in 11 bowling 1st means he was not in the plan

That's what I wrote. He won't play today. But it means he is getting into the scheme of things. May get to play after a game or two.
