Bigg Brother
Surprised there is no thread about this. Where does he go now? PSG, Man City or Chelsea? Sad as I Was looking forward to Aguero-Messi partnership at Barcelona.
Jimmy Cliff
Man City have already ruled it out. PSG it is. So we'd have Neymar-Messi-Mbappe lining up for the same side next season.
I6MTW
PSG already looks stacked. If Messi follows, this would be the most loaded side in football history. Even Aguero has opted out of Barcelona now. He wants to play where Messi is. If PSG have enough on their pockets, after Messi, they might opt for Aguero as well. Just imagine a squad with Messi, Neymar, Mbappe, Wijnaldum, Ramos, Donnarumma,Navas,Verratti etc.

Messi even settled for lesser than his usual pay, just to be in Barcelona. He is the most loyal sportsmen. It's just that the Spanish La Liga rules prevented the club from signing him. They really couldn't do anything. It's not as if Messi wanted to leave. Also this is a big thing, because Barcelona was the club that gave him life, from his youth days till now, he was a part of both the FCB junior and senior clubs. He was scouted by FCB when he was a kid in Argentina, and given growth hormone treatment because he had a growth defect, he was with the cub for nearly 18 years, since the start of his career. For football fans , it is big news that they will no longer see Messi in the same colours as that of FCB.

Loyalty is non-existential in top level football... Edited August 8, 2021 by someone

No, he thought about it. He was upset because of the drubbing against Bayern Munich. So, he wanted out in frustration. But, after he realised that he would have to go to court to break contract, he said he will not take the club that provided him livelihood and glory and fame, to court. So, Messi is loyal.
