2006: in SA, lost 1-2, a very close series

2007: Eng, won 1-0, dominant performance

2007-08: Aus lost 1-2, but for Bucknor would have won

2009: in NZ, won 1-0

2010-11: in SA, drew 1-1

2011: in Eng lost 0-4

2011-12: in Aus lost 0-4

2013: in SA lost 0-1

6 wins and 17 losses (record tarred by the two shameful whitewashes in Eng and Australia)

 

We won 2 series in England and NZ, drew in SA, should have won in Aus but for Bucknor. There were two blots in the aftermath of the 2011 WC victory in Eng and Aus.

 

Add that in this period we won a T20 WC and a Champions Trophy in SENA.

 

Despite all this, we had 3 captains in this period - Dravid, Kumble and Dhoni. And four coaches - Greg Chappel (in SA), Rajput+Prasad combo for 6 months after 2007 WC (in Eng), Kirsten from 2008-11, Duncan Fletcher (2011-14). 

 

Compare it to last 6-7 years. Same captain and Shastri as team director/ head coach since 2014 on all SENA tours (Kumble never toured SENA). Zero trophies and ZERO accountability 

 

 

What is so different in this period? We lost in England badly both in 2011 and 2014. Same happened in 2018. We haven't yet lost this series. Never won in SA then did, didn't win now. It's not much different.

That 2011 Eng tour was basically against a English side which was at its peak...  Cook Strauss KP Bell..  That quad was fearsome at home nearly invincible.  Probably only Saffers were close. 

That Drawn series in SA 2010-11 probably made people believe that we had a shot. Then as soon as Zaheer got injured..  It was over.   

4-0 in Australia although was dreadful..  Everyone went missing. 

 

Under Chokli it's a different story..  Faced a weak English side in 2018 that just drew 1-1 against a inexperienced Pak team..  Under pressure Root.  Legendary choke in Edgbaston..  England's fortress.   Third class performance.  Picking a finished Murli Vijay who minnow bashed Afghans earlier.  Peak Mayank was wasted. 

 

Weakest Saffers team we ever faced in 2018.. Another choke job. 

 

ATG NZ side has already humiliated us severely so one can imagine how would Chokli had fared against far stronger English & Aussie sides.
