More time on bfc means loss of pace for hip dominant bowlers. Bfc for a knee dominant can be higher as they depend longer on stretch shortening cycle.

Stiff is when backfoot lands on forefoot. Goes through quickly of the crease. Soft is when whole foot lands together and doesn't go through the crease quickly. In stiff landing, heal doesn't touch the crease. In soft landing, it does. Edited September 27, 2021 by rkt.india
Suhaan Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 (edited) His bfc is perfect, lands perfectly being a front on hip he doesn't need that preturn, but hip dominants need even more stiffer bfc,he has a quick bfc Him being Caribbean also helps, genetically their tendon ligaments are stronger than other guys having being brought up in sandy beaches, takes jump(which doesn't look that prominent) and does have a nice shin lead Not saying cant be developed through training Edited September 27, 2021 by Suhaan

They don't make anyone bowl 150 kph. Lockie has none of this still bowls 150. Technical positions are technical positions. They can make you less injury prone or may increase some pace but won't make you 150k bowler. Pace, you are born with. Edited September 28, 2021 by rkt.india

Fast bowling is combination of all aspects, Will, technique, twitch fibres, Lockie has fast bfc also has preturn but he has flexion

Technique does increase in pace to certain extent like if Ishan porel improves his technique, he may bowl more in 135-140 range than the current 128-135k. It won't make him bowl 150k. Shoaib didn't even have braced front leg. Edited September 28, 2021 by rkt.india

Shoaib didn't even have braced front leg. You can miss 1/2 of the basic necessities to bowl fast If Shoiab didn't have brced leg ,he had tremendous preturn quick bfc etc You cannot find everything perfect in one bowler Starc lacks a good shin lead ,still bowls quick, there are exceptions,it is a given technical aspects can only increase your pace by some amount and limit injuries Edited September 28, 2021 by Suhaan
