How are the teams shaping up in the warm up games? (T20WC 2021)

Unless you can carry the momentum forward, you do not want to play your best cricket in warm ups ... In alphabetical order within respective groups:

AFG - Could get better if key batsmen play to their potential. Spin attack appears hot.

IND -  Played on good batting surfaces where it had a relatively smooth sailing. The lower middle order did not get a good work out.

NZ -  Lost 7 or more wkts in both its games therefore got good preparation for tough situations. V Eng, the team was 97/7 and still got to 150!

Pak - Has not played on good batting surfaces but its batsmen have hit many 6s.

Aus - Scrapped in the two games where its lower middle order got a good work out.

Eng - Had two tough games, bowling a worry. The team can be a slow starter so got two games out of the way. Eng does not rely on a limited set of players so any 2-3 guys can have a good game to make an impact.

SA - Can be expected to play better if the key players perform per their potential.

WI - Probably had the worst warm up games of the top 7 "qualified" teams in terms of displaying a fight. Bowling is a worry so batting needs to step up big time. Work is cut out for WI but they have the fire power.
