If India bat first, will Rohit and Rahul look to start of aggressive against Imad and shaheeh?

No. You know right that a supposedly in-form Ind was bowled out for 79 by NZ in the last T20WC and smashed by WI in SF?

The lesson is for teams like Ind to try to be innovative to win tournament and for guys like Rohit to do their job in the power plays or get out or even better retire from T20s … For e.g. if a good score is 150, RR 7.5 at the end of 20 overs, Ind should be attempting to be at least +2 the expected RR at the end of 20 overs in PP. If the par score is 200+, 70+ in PP. And let other batsmen do their job at other stages.

If Ind needed players to do tuk tuk, it would play players like Manish Pandey. One can’t be pretending to be a stroke maker and play most of the time like Manish Pandey and that too in PPs.

I will repeat the stat which you conveniently ignored

In the UAE leg of IPL, except one, EVERY match was won by team which scored more in powerplay

Regardless of whether they batted first or second. Regardless of the total score. And even that 1 match was close in powerplay runs where both teams scored high

Now you can learn lessons from one aging teams first match, or from 31 matches in UAE in IPL

Not sure about VC - Maybe Ashwin? Other than that I agree, and I would prefer us to chase as well. If we bat first, we wont know what is a good target and with false bravado may end up 30/3 in the Powerplay itself.

Worst fears came true :(
