I was speaking to someone yesterday and mentioned Umran - the reaction was "he would have been thrashed". What happened to Bhuvaneshwar and Shami? Bhuvaneshwar's first over was so innocuous that all thought of any fight ended. When I said this, the reaction was its okay - "one match ....things happen". Basically a Bhuvaneshwar can go for 100+ in a ODI but don't you dare play a fast bowler because he can get thrashed. Thrashing of any trundler is ok but a fast bowler should not be risked lest he be thrashed. The same pshyche comes to batting as well. Go slow with players like Kishan, play Bhuvi ahead of Shami in LOI with 1 over left or Ishant ahead of Siraj in Test when Ishant hardly can stay in the middle in recent times.
