Delhi 2015?

Check jadeja's bowling in the first innings, also second innings it was actually Umesh who gave the crucial breakthroughs on day 5 post tea or lunch IIRC.

bangalore 2016 against aus Ashwin

That was a dead pitch? Did you watch the match? It was 2017 btw not 2016.

Chennai 2013 flat pitch

Massive runs on the board & not a dead pitch, if it wasn't for MS' innings we could well have lost that game!

Mumbai 2016 against eng, flat road

Mumbai's never a flat road, you must be watching some other game if you think it ever was. Also Jayant was out, Eng didn't review that IIRC.

Ashwin on day 1 picked up 4 wickets and 12 in the test

Umesh had Jennings dropped on a duck, first over! We'd have batted on that very first day if not for that.

Ashwin got Elgar, bavuma, duminy and later de Villiers, game was over by then, Yadav got Dane vilas, abbot and piedt. De Villiers, Elgar and duminy were the key wickets, five wicket haul against bang in 2015 on that flat road was commendable, they had Tamim, shakib, mushi, Kayes, liton, mominul not a bad batting line up at all, slow track again. Wankhede track in 2016 against eng was a road, Jayant batted over 200 deliveries, the ball came onto the bat beautifully, day 1 eng were going good until Ashwin varied his pace and came over the wicket to Jennings. Unless you expect Ashwin to pick up all 20 wickets in a test you would not have faulted him for his efforts in the 2013 Chennai test, bhaji, bhuvi, ishant were average, Ashwin was one man army in that test, what did jadeja in that test? He has relied heavily on Ashwin in India, could not buy a wicket in England recently.

I never knew there were so many Ashwin haters on this app, either they are butt hurt bhaji fans or those jadeja fan boys who feel jaddu is a better spinner than ashwin. Ashwin can get wickets on any track, jaddu simply can't. Ashwin got it to spin even on those t20 tracks in Jaipur and Eden gardens.

I never knew you were related to Ashwin or were a member of his cult! jadeja played his 2nd or third test of his career in Chennai 2013, what the f*** did Ashwin do in 3 tests against Eng post the Ahmedabad wins, Joburg 2014 or the second test vs SA in 2018, Eng 4th test the same year? Hw was outbowled by Maharaj & bhai & has repeatedly failed in crunch moments outside Asia! Yes he's delivered twice in Oz in 2018/19 & 2020/21 but then was also an actual flop show in the two previous tours. Instead of acknowledging that he has failed (like Jadeja or Kohli) in many games, where we expected him to do better, you sound like a whiny little fanboy/girl - keep munching on your histrionics. I've already pointed out his multiple failures yet you keep on bringing in "butt butt that guy that game" BS. See ya never ever :goodnight:

Related? Man chill did ashwin once beat you up or what? Eng 4th test he was injured and he never failed in the 14/15 aus tour, infact he was India's best bowler.

Dude, can you stop making up facts to defend Ashwin. I watched all 5 days of that match at Chinnaswamy, was a perfectly fine day 4 -5 wicket. It was our batsmen's incompetence to survive on day 5 when the pitch had some variable bounce.

"Variable bounce" lol That was there even on day 4. Just that Younis khan treate him like a seamer. Planted his frontfoot and swept everything infront of midwicket.

Kumble's strike rate record series wise. Wickets don't tell you the true story. Strike rates. How many overs you have to bowl to take a wicket. First tour to England strike rate was 120 in 1990. Let us give benefit of doubt. He mopped floor with England in 1993 home series. He goes back to England again. HIs strike rate was 174 !! Two SA series in 1996 and 2002. His strike rate was 110, 112. Kumble was always our number of one choice.

Ashwin series strike rates.  Vast majority of the series have a strike rates around 65 which is perfectly acceptable. Even the two that he has 100 plus strike rates happened at the earliest part of his career 2011 & 2012.
