Horrible series for Ashwin. Didn't expect much with the bat,but ended up below whatever expectations I had. But its in bowling he stunk,for someone who's talked about as competition to Kumble,he ended up justifying the decision to leave him out in Eng.

 

Thakur was okay. He's talented with bat and can be our no. 7. But needs to learn defense. Bowling was par for the expectations

thakur is no. 8 on pitches with lateral movement. he can bat at 7 in Oz or SC

did quite well in England.He'll stay aggressive but if he can chose to mix it with good defense he can be no.7. Definitely better than current Ash.

Good to see enthusiasm on Thakur's future but he is 30 and likely to trundle more ... Ind is not touring SENA anytime soon iirc apart from the pending test in Eng
