she is a better AR IMO than Maxwell for their respective national teams. Maxwell has higher avg and SR, but women's game has lower scores. and gardner is more reliable than maxi as a bowler.

 

just to be clear, this comparison also compares gardner in women's cricket with maxi in men's cricket - it is not a question of X vs Y competing directly (e.g., in speed, power hitting, etc)

Aus's depth is their AR bowling. I would have played jonassen in place of king or wellington - both are leggies and can't bat. whereas jonassen is more versatile both as bowler and batter.

I don't know about her role or ability. Just the way freedom with which she was hitting reminded me of Maxwell.  She was moving around constantly throwing their line off.  Harmanpreet Kaur did that briefly. But she started very late. Also she had no other player to do the same from other end.

gardner has similar role as maxi. used as floater, but mostly as devastating lower order hitter. and both bowl off spin

In the recent NZ series she was timing the ball well. ONe freak run out. Few soft dismissals. Don't think she was out of form. India needs more power hitters like her.
