Even in the event for non selection they opt for career like bus truck driver farming etc. They are hardly going to college Those who go to college opt for officer level selection in army Do you even live in this country? I do. And not sure what you said has to do with anything. Most of these jawans will be chowkidars in some politician or army persons house or be gofers who will cooking, cleaning, etc. Why should they be paid a lifelong pension?

In this very article, he talks about tweak the policy and how the proposal is long pending demand. Don't just oppose it, for the sake of it.

When the Union government announced the Agnipath scheme on June 14, 2022, it said only 25% of recruits would be retained while the rest would be released after the completion of their four-year tenure. and now read current news Indian Army Recommends Major Changes to Agnipath Scheme The Indian Army has reviewed the Agnipath scheme and has made several recommendations to improve it.
