This does look like harmless banter to me.  B Mac comes from rougher side of Dunedin so he perhaps maybe the guy Ross is mentioning.  Younger players can't say those things to a senior player. 

Either way Racism exits everywhere.  Somewhere subtle somewhere open.  In Sub Continent & East Asia it is khullam khulla with no holds barred.
