Frustrated Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Replacing the coach will hardly make a difference as long as the seniority/superstar quota exists. Team Ind will continue to remain like a govt entity in which hiring by reservation supersedes everything else. I don't think even a strong headed guy like Gambir(if he becomes coach) would be able to break the status quo. Gollum, Ultimate_Game and Kron 1 2

All those maces but when it came to WTC - the championship final - he flopped as usual. He has had 4 chances in WTC (batted both innings in 2 WTC finals), and not a single decent performance. He can't cross the finish line, and we've seen it so many times - IPL, WT20, ODI WC, WTC etc. He falls at the last hurdle consistently and there's more than enough data at this point. And his fans deflect it to blame bowlers, other batsmen, and newbies. They ignore the fact that Kohli's supposed to be the "King" leading the batting and has been playing for for more than 1.5 decades now. Obviously, he'll need to step up. If Kohli is only there for group stages and others are expected to step up in knockouts, then give up your premium spot as batting is easier for Top 3 where they get the most time to settle in, and play during PP when there are no outfielders. Plus on most flat pitches, it's even easier to bat upfront as hard new ball comes on to the bat much better. You can't take up best batting positions (top 3 in white-ball, and no. 4 in Tests), pretty much do as you please, and then not show up when it really matters. Kohli sarrrr Kohli keeeeeng Kohli goddd Kohli bhesssst Kohli goattttt Kohli chapriiii lel That's why he chokes. These sycophants keep kicking his nuts. Chaos 1

One thing for sure though, gambi won't be pushed around like ajeeet agarkar and Rahul He is strong willed and very determined. Brazen and is able to make bold decisions. He is also a natural winner. He wins everywhere in every format. That gives me hope.

My question is - Why Aussies are not preparing Flat Pitches as they have prepared in Border Gavaskar Trophy 2015 They do. Not all avenues are flat though.

putrevus Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 (edited) Superstars are the ones who carry the teams. They are the ones who get blamed a lot if team dont do well. All other players go unnoticed. So them getting more chances to do well is not wrong IMO. Sachin kept getting blame for India not winning world cup. Some morons keep blaming Kohli for not scoring more runs in world cup in October even after he scored most runs by any player in world cup history. That is the burden superstars carry ,it is not wrong if they get more chances in their lean patches. Rohit and Kohli played a vital role as youngsters in India winning in 2007 and 2011. But they never got the same help from guys like Gill,SKY and others.Dhoni first screwed t20 world cups both in 2014 and 2016. Gambhir if he tries to be authoritative , he also should be shown the door like Kumble. Personally I don't think he is any good. I will be glad to be proven wrong. Edited June 19, 2024 by putrevus

It is 1000% wrong to back chokers. * chokers like kohli and rohit. We have better players than them.we don't need them in any formats. We will never win any icc title as long as they are there.

No we may win WTC 2025 vs Australia because their Batting had became very weak. Whether these Chokers play or not.
