Desi Cartman Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Young couple found dead, cops suspect honour killing New Delhi: In what could be a case of honour killing, the bodies of two persons, one male and the other female, both in their early twenties, were found in two gunny sacks in the Najafgarh drain near Kakrola. The bodies were reportedly decomposed, suggesting they had died at least two days ago. The girl’s relatives have been booked in the killing. The bodies were later identified as Rajkumar and Geeta, both residents of Najafgarh. Reportedly, the two were in love with each other and wanted to get married. Geeta’s family, however, was opposed to it as Rajkumar apparently did not come from a very respectable background and had no family. He wasn’t working either and was reportedly not from the same caste. The girl’s family allegedly tried to dissuade the two from meeting and tried to get her married elsewhere. When nothing worked, they allegedly got them both killed. Geeta’s father, Murari Lal, was reportedly detained for questioning after the two bodies were identified. A senior police official stated that during investigations it was revealed that Murari Lal’s younger brother, Dhirendra, who lived in the same house as Geeta and her family, was the one who actually murdered the two lovers. ‘‘The name of Geeta’s brother-in-law, Sanjay, also surfaced. Incidentally, Sanjay lives very close to where the bodies were found in Kakrola. It later turned out that Sanjay and Dhirendra were the ones who executed the killing. They strangled the two and put their bodies in gunny sacks before disposing them off in the drain,’’ said the police official. He added that while Sanjay and Dhirendra have been booked for murder, Murari Lal has been booked for aiding them as he was aware of the incident much in advance. ‘‘We have arrested Sanjay and Murari Lal but Dhirendra is still at large. He will be arrested very soon, possibly before Monday itself,’’ said the official. I think its impressive that they have already solved this case .. within days of finding the dead bodies they already have the murderer (I know they should be calling him the "accused"):hatsoff:
Cricketics Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 there are dozen cases every month which they try to hide and close and eventually no result comes out. these sucessfull cases are rarety. yesterday i was watching star news.. the case is that, a girl may be 11 yrz old was killed in Noida. parents were not at home and the servant of the house was missing when police came to check n stuff. the police very blindly declared hat it surely is the servant who killed the little girl. the very next day a very strong retired official went to the house to check all this drama.. he decided to go to the terrace of the house. the stairs which were taking u to the terrace had blood stains. when he went on the terrace, he found the dead body of the servant of the house. now this shyt police very easily closed the damn case saying that the servant was the killer. they didn't even decide to go and check the servan'ts room whch was on terrace. they didn't check the blood strains..
theguyinallblue Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 this Arushi Murder case...is very intriguing .. the suspect has been murdered by some one... and probably the person who killed the servant "Hemraj" also killed the the girl "Aarushi" first... police have arrested their previous servant "Vishnu" for interrogation.... this case has really caught the imagination of this region...and media has highlighted the case as well... so people are really following this case.... Hope the real culrits are brought to justice soon...

Hope the real culrits are brought to justice soon... i didn't follow it today, had to leave early. did they do anything with the "Chaadar" it also had blood stains. and was supposed to go to some forensic lab anything found???

DomainK Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I think Delhi police is one of the worst in the world. I have lived there for 5 years and I have first hand experience. They can be corrupt as hell. Quite shameless. I remember a long time ago a journalist had done a research asking constables what they should do when they first reach a crime scene. Astonishingly everyone gave different replies and not a single one knew the basics.
THX_1138 Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 the attrition rate of solved cases is about 1 in 11 in most developed nations. i.e. 1 in every 11 homicides is actually solved within the first year of the crime being reported... this of course does not include the laborious process of litigation. we as a culture have little respect for the tedium of the job responsibility of law enforcement. brought up on a diet of hindi movies where the police is impunctuation, boombastic, and riddled with misfits and crooks, our perception of the police is adversely skewed. this is not to say that our law enforcement agencies have their hands anything but clean of attrocities and mismanagement, but then again with terribly low budgets, poor recruiting, and trivial benefits, expecting miracles is just absurd.

But one thing which is very disturbing which has come out of this is... that the girl...age 14..student of 9th Std...was having some sort of physical relationship with his servant Hemraj...

Police got a confession from the father which was withdrawn few hrs later. How the hell does someone withdraw his confession. ANSWER when procedure is not followed by police. Media pressure solved this case not the Police.

She has met him in prison and has said he is completely innocent and the real murderer is still out there. Hemraj's nephew has also said Hemraj had nothing to fear for his life and had never said so. The CPU of the girl Arushi has been seized today and the police are further inverstigating.

While union minister Renuka Chowdhury has asked her officials to investigate whether the cops violated laws meant for the protection of minors by their public disclosure of an alleged liaison between the child and family servant Hemraj, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has also objected to the stigmatisation of the minor. Speaking to TOI, Chowdhury, who holds the charge of woman and child development, said, “I have asked ministry officials to look into the legal violations by the police in the Arushi murder case.” On Friday, the UP police insinuated that the 14-year-old girl fell victim to an “honour killing” after her father Rajesh Talwar — now the prime accused — found Aarushi and Hemraj in an “objectionable position”. Both Brij Lal, ADG, Special Task Force, and Gurdarshan Singh, IGP (Meerut zone), had suggested that this was the immediate provocation for the murders. “We are seized of the matter. The way the child has been stigmatised is not allowed under the Juvenile Justice Act,” Shanta Sinha, NCPCR chairman, said. NCPCR member Sandhya Bajaj said the commission would demand an explanation from the cops. “On what basis is the police vilifying the image of a dead child... she cannot defend herself and they are taking advantage of that. We want to know if the police has eyewitnesses, or videos or any other evidence to prove their remarks.” Mobile calls suggest a loving dad, sincere doc Ascrutiny of the calls made or received by Dr Rajesh Talwar late on the night of May 15 doesn’t suggest he had murder on his mind. A check by TOI to find out with whom he was in touch from his cellphone bear out his family’s claim that he was a doting father and dedicated dentist. One call was to a trader from whom he had brought a digital camera as a gift for his daughter. The others were connected to his professional life.

Krishna = Compounder of Talwars 5. Rajkumar = Servant of Durranis some Media friends have circulated the news..and increasingly this is becoming true... 1. Rajesh Talwar and Nupur Talwar ( Parents of Aarushi) were member of wife swapping club.. 2. Durranis ( Talwar's professional Partner in Dental clinic ) were also part if it. 3. Talwars were at home till midnight ...and aarushi was alive till then.. 4. Talwars left the house past mid night. 5. Servant of Durranis..Raj Kumar was having an evil eye on Aarushi.. 6. Servants and compounder knew that Rajesh Talwar was having some exta- marital affair with Durrani 7. at the night of Murder Krishna and Rajkumar came to Talwar's house past mid night.. 8. they had drinks with Hemraj..Raj kumar under the influence of alcohol and his lust wanted to **** Aarushi 9. At first the cops couldnt find the dead body of the servant for more than 1 day while it was lying on the roof .. then they said the servant and the girl were having an affair then the cops said that since the father was having an affair and the daughter didnt like it , the father killed her ... now this wife swapping .. WTF ... aakhir hua kya hai .. PS: Im sure Sansani & Co must be loving this .. its hrs and hrs of news for them
