Walsh also said that he has a nice swinging action, but agree about the grip of the ball. However, I felt that he had changed that as well. His first spell was actually pretty impressive. He should have got Samuels as well. He looks a lot leaner as well. But this was just one match, and sadly we can't judge him on the basis of such a small sample set.
AGREE Pathan bowled well, fastest ball being 133.7 k, swung the ball, with two new balls, he will be an asset as a new ball bowler, if he can bowl 130 to 140 with his swing, he will be back to his best :dance::two_thumbs_up::yay:

Now if anyone of 3 Ishant , zak , yadav gets injured , Pathan will go to Australia and will be in the playing XI ahead of Mithun and VK. Good comeback .. :two_thumbs_up:

he never bowled 144K, yes he bowled one delivery at 140, but that was some 7 years ago. He was never quicker than 135K on average. If he can maintain 130-135 with swing and consistency that would be good for a left arm pacer. Zaheer is not quicker than 130-135K. At that pace, it is all about skills and execution of plans and consistency. I did not find him consistent enough yesterday. We will need to see more,

Yesterday after his first spell, he was bowling below 120 K most of the time. If he was using a slower ball it should not be his stock delivery. In a test match, it is not important at what pace he can bowl an occasional ball but what pace he can sustain over 25 overs in a day and honestly based on what we saw yesterday, Pathan is not Test material at present at least. He can be good in ODIs provided he improves his control and bowls better with the older ball . Yesterday he was spraying it quite a lot. At his pace, good batsmen are going to tear him apart. Plus if he is going to be an allrounder, his batting has to improve a lot. So far in the Ranji trophy, he has scored only 81 runs @ 16.20. I would be very glad to be proved wrong regarding Irfan because one has to appreciate that he is putting in his best and sincere effort.

lol dude did u even watch the game,he was getting way more swing than Mithoon.Mithoon got both his wickets due to Asnani,one blatantly wrong for which he didnt even appeal,n one iffy at best. n whats this obsession with speed?its not like we have speed demons in our FC cricket.this speed with swing is enough to get test batsmen out.the hattrick he got was even slower deliveries n he got Yousuf,Younis.there r other bowlers in India who bowl same speed,why dont u go after them Irfan got 2-42 in 9 overs.thats not great,but not pathetic either.
Lord, you have to understand KT's annoyance- Dont you know everytime Pathan plays he supports the opposition?? He would have been really pissed off when he took that wicket first ball and another soon after. Would rather have seem centuries from both those batsmen and India lose...

He was selfish. He played a solid forward defensive in 49th over, please explains this level of selfishness. The over was a maiden. Even you who is so bias towards him must acknowledge he batted like an idiot. His bowling topped out at 80 mph. He bowled numerous wides as he could not control his 76 mph lollipos. The fact that we are even discussing who was better Mithun or Crapthan shows how pathetic he was. As Mithun is pathetic as well but probably out bowled Irfan. Crpathan has actually got slower then before. What has he been doing in Ranji to get even slower. To much IPL money and no hard work. He was same as always, wides, lack of control and poor pace. I see no improvement just got worse.

He was bowling below 80 mph 99% of time. With odd effort ball at 80 mph

big match player..also he can fill allrounder spot.. i dont think there is any difference between Pathan and Bhajji... one comes from a long run up and bowl medium spin while other use a short run up and bowl fast spin at end both try to bowl wicket to wicket

there.. one bowls with new ball.. which might help us in next world cup in australia and is lil younger other is guy who cant take wicket for his life! and even if he comes back to form he is not competing with irfan he is competing with fatwin
