MOM is not a metric for better player. Kallis has more MOM than Viv in ODIs.. Dhoni won India big games and played a match winning knock in 2011 final. He completely changed the complexion of Indian LOi cricket. Afridi strengthened Pakistan in late 2000s in T20s but he didn't do much to change complexion of LOI cricket in Pakistan. His ODI record is still mediocre only bar longevity.

Not correct to compare kallis with viv.. Viv played only around 180 matches where as kallis played 300+ odis.. Viv won 31 motm 187 matches that means per 6 matches he won one motm.. Viv was best odi player as per motm stat also.. Next sachin n kohli won motm in every 7+ matches.. Dhoni won more mos than afridi that indicates dhoni performed consistently in odis.. Afridi on his day single handedly won matches for their team.. I think In t20is afridi ahead dhoni.. Agree dhoni is our best captain in lois n he changed indian cricket
