Not every track is flat. 

Same was sad of sehwag . Ability to score quickly is v important . Ability to assess track too is important . Somebody like Kishan can upset opposition if needed. Just what pant does . 
 

decent technique but good temperament maketh a good opener . Kishan has good decent technique and being left handed is an advantage .
