Indians take both silver and bronze in the 10000 m race. Didn't expect that.

There was a collision earlier between the Japanese and Bahraini. Took out the fav to win, a Saudi who was with the lead group and the Bahraini.

Amazing from the Indians

All the Mideast countries have substantial African blood in their demographics. It makes a bit of a difference.

And they have unlimited money to spend and a small pool to pick from.

Still, Qatar has done amazingly well with a population of 300k to pick from.

In a way its a good thing with these "Imported" athletes.

Raises the bar and Improves the standard for the region...which will help eventually in world events.

Even other than those they 'import' there are a lot of Tanzanian, Sudani and Somali origin locals there.

Indian badminton doubles team loses its second game. Korea level the scores back at 2.

Srikanth plays the tie-breaker. Hope he has a good game. Don't want any more close games

We should try and get some Africans as well. At least as practice runners/coaches to improve our game. We have the potential - not the pedigree.

Bad period for India since the 10k m

Nishant Dev - first boxer to go down today.

India's weightlifting contingent signs off with a sorry note in 5th position. Bindyarani goes down with a below par performance.
