Exactly. We had a week off; it would be stupid to have people playing 10 days after their last match directly in a semi. Injuries are possible even in warm ups or at home...Federer had a knee injury by slipping in his bathroom...and Pants tragedy was not on the field.

I see your point but it is a tricky choice considering match rhythm. I am sure players have been told not to push them selves while fielding like Pandya stupidly sticking his boot vs Bangladesh.
