Morkel can't solve their bowlers' issues.

National bowling coaches can't do that.

They need coaches with the relevant knowledge in domestic /NHPC for bowlers to work on their actions etc.

Morne probably realised that unlike SA/OZ , the system is much weaker in Pakistan even now.

He was contracted for 6 months which was coming to an end may an upcoming Aus tour that would have been the last tour and sensing that he might have resigned.

Its v.hard to work with Asian teams where blame is shifted from one to another and they always try to find out an escape goat.

All pak bowlers in their set-up have hardly played any FC/list A games, they have done really well in t20is but in longer format they find it hard. Was surprised with Rauf's speeds he was consistently  bowling above 145 kmph thought out 10 overs.

Yeah he will get blamed for PAK bowling failures when it's not really his fault that Naseem got injured and his replacements are not nearly as good.

Neither can he help Shaheen get his action back because you need a personal coach and time specifically dedicated for that and Morne can't do a lot more.

Rauf doesn't have an ideal run up or he could probably bowl a tad quicker.

Trouble for Rauf is that it's too late, I think , for him at his age.

He releases the ball from well behind the crease and so the batsmen have more time to play even his 150 kph stuff

Rauf's action and run-up is quite what u get with tape/tennis -ball bowler, everything in a single motion, no load-up no jump.

This enables them to get yorker right and reduces the time for a batter to pre-empt the bowler's line. if he tries to change anything he might have to change everything.

Madhwal (MI) had similar approach.

I just dont understand Australian-African ex cricketers obsession with Pakistan. Do they pay them that well?

Classic liberal soft corner for a downtrodden country and also rescue syndrome - they think they can lift up the "talented" but inconsistent lot by imparting discipline and professionalism.

Why complain when you get a virtual paid vacation by way of a 'consultant' role and have no accountability but only responsibility? It's the best kind of job. Whether it is Hayden or Philander or Mickey Arthur.
