mishra
I don’t understand Why PM Modi has to raise issue. Its duty of every Indian including DMK supporters to write to their CM that this is not acceptable. Are our journos and media so political that they can’t see this blunder by Current Administration. Thats why I say, Southies are no better than. Any North state and politics is nothing but vote bank there. If anything, Northies are ahead as they have mostly kicked out family run Congress and family run regional parties. Even Bong have kicked out Commies raki05

Even Bong have kicked out Commies Yadavs in UP and Bihar are regional parties with families running them. In UP, they are still relevant, In Bihar they were ruling until a few weeks ago. They can come back to power next assembly elections. Manata has her nephew Abhishek running the party. Congress in HP, Haryana, Rajasthan, MP , Cgarh has Congress swapping BJP every other election . What is so different in North? Hence, BJP and Modi has to run the PR machine 24x7 to defeat that junk opposition in the the north. Whole country is run by families of regional parties or Congress. Except Kerala , but they have the worst option of Vampanthies. Edited February 29, 2024 by coffee_rules

In LS elections, they dont vote for Rahulji. In Local elections, allmost every major state of North is voting the party and NOT family. Do heck, Northies have given up on Shiv Sena who they were so much emotionally attached to after Thakare ji. Orissa and Bengal is voting a personality not his family and most likely as soon as that personality is gone, the party will be finished as many voters will move away. South still needs to do some catching up. South (except Karnataka to some degree) is still fundamentally voting on vote bank politics. Their growth story relative to North is based on historical aspect(Late invasion by Islamic rulers) and locational (Port cities) advantage in India Edited February 29, 2024 by mishra

They have voted for JP in assembly and Congress in LS even during IG sympathy wave of 1984. My point being, India is not Congress or Regional party mukt as you think. They are still relevant and can flip states. This is just Modi era. After him, it will be a kishkinda

They are still relevant and can flip states. This is just Modi era. After him, it will be a kishkinda If you look at it more objectively, you will realize that Initial vote bank was based on Freedom Struggle. Congress and Communism were two big ideas. Next local leaders emerged in various states within framework of Congress/Communist in their states. Some may say it became a era of "vocal for local" but still Congress was overall winner. However These local leaders created local parties as they realised their "vocal for local" doesnt fit in National India narrative. But Narsimha Rao and MMS managed it. Then came era of BJP where Centralised Command centre is again being rebuilt. Gujrat for example is one and only state where voters partially skipped vocal for local phase and went into Centralised leadership. Karnataka and Gujrat has more similarities than Karnataka and UP (Deve Gowda support is only exception). UP has allready gone through phase 2. So reason for BJP expected to do well this time is Stalins voter knows that in LS, Voting for Stalin means voting as Stalins vote Bank but they are not voting for Rahul as PM . So, dilemma to such voter(who may be aware enough vote bank) is that "Is it worth Voting?" Edited March 1, 2024 by mishra coffee_rules
