So AIS hammered the Indian bowlers for 371 this time and their chief target was, surprisingly Amit Misra!! Looks like the fellow had a terrible off day! In the reply, Indian openers failed with Dhawan falling for just 5 and Kohli too scoring only 27 runs. These Indian players are really inconsistent. I doubt if India can cross even 300, seeing their long tail!! They've scored 101/2 in 15 overs till now.

chandan, all bowlers are getting hammered, these pitches are weird. some turfs are bringing low scores, then some are acting pretty flat and all bowlers from both teams are getting hammered. you see, home town bowlers of australia are getting hammered too in just 32 overs they have given away 250 runs to India. great to see Badrinath scoring runs, he is agian today not out on 79.. hope he plays till the end and win it for India. Raina too hit a ton in this game.

Good job by S. Raina and S. Badrinath. The latter deserves a look in for the Test squad.

Badrinath has been metronomically consistent. There doesnt seem to be a format where he seems out of place, be it tests, ODIs or even T20. Before IPL, he was a bit of an unknown quantity and considered mostly as a 'Test specialist', but he has shown that he can quite easily score at a good pace too. Surely, he should ATLEAST be in the squad for the next big tournament. If anything, Robin Uthappa's place is in more danger, now that Raina is back and Badri is performing at every given chance.

Theo Doropoulos and Moises Henriques made merry with centuries to pilot Australia to what seemed an unassailable 371 for 5, but Suresh Raina's 115 gave them a scare before India were bowled out for 352. However, the result could've been different had they managed to bat till the end of the 50th over. The run-fest began when Doropoulos and David Warner tore into the attack with an opening stand of 133, before Henriques joined Doropoulos to stitch the biggest stand of the match - 156. Doropoulos fell for 107 off 115 balls but the more dominant of the pair was Henriques who blazed to his ton in just 67 deliveries before eventually falling for 124 off 83. S Badrinath was left to rue his decision at the toss and at the interval, the Indians were up against it. India's charge was led by Raina, who after a rich haul of runs in the Asia Cup, ripped into the academy attack and matched Henriques' effort, reaching his ton in 65 balls. Badrinath, following a dip in returns in the two previous games, found his touch and played the supporting role to Raina. They added 131 for the third wicket before Raina fell. It was a crucial breakthrough as the Indians failed to build more partnerships. Badrinath missed his ton by five runs and his dismissal at 6 for 276 put Australia firmly in command. Ahmed Amla sent New Zealand in and the openers, Guptill and Jesse Ryder, set the platform with a stand of 64. Greg Hay chipped in with 43 as New Zealand posted a competitive 276. India loses the match against NZ which was reduced to 20 overs per inning and NZ scored 116/8 in the alloted overs while India got all out for just 110 runs with everyone failing apart from Ravindra Jadeja who scored 42 runs and was run out. Once again it proves that when the conditions are a bit tough, none of these batsmen have the game to fight it out there!!
