India's left arm spin options

Thisi IPL has given a snapshot of how India has a large pool of left arm spinners and their different operating style. Axar and Jadeja are pretty much identical in terms of how they bowl. They spear it in with occasional ball leaving the batsmen.   There are guys like Harpreet Brar slows it up and gives a bit more flight. This way he negates the so called "match ups" as he can still deceive the batsman in flight.

 

For example in the today's CSK and PKXI match look at the difference of speed between Brar and Jadeja. Brar not surprisingly was harder to score against on a pitch like this. India missed a trick by going in for same type of spinners just because they can bat a bit.

Amateur analysis. Pitch was gripping in 1st innings but then heavy dew negated spinners in 2nd innings...

Jadeja bowled at those speeds everywhere. You sound like jaddu is a classic left arm spinner

Same pitch, same stadium, same Jaddu...Go see how he bowled against KKR when bowling first. Go to cricinfo and check his bowling figures...

Now we have geniuses saying guys who have not even played FC.even though they are 28 being better spinner than Jadeja.

I have seen him for 15 years lol Stop making up stories like Jaddu is some 78 kph bowler. His bowling action itself is a round arm action darting into the batsmen  Show me a video where he bowls consistently under 80s.

Yea you need more evidence besides sucking for 15 years in the limited overs. I am sorry you probably love to embrace mediocrity. There are others who like to move on with other options. If it were upto you Kohli will play for next 10 years because Raguvanshi is yet to make debut. Nice.

How is it his fault, these Sai kishore and brars are useless.

 

So until you have someone who is better Jadeja is going nowhere and rightly so.

 

Samething applies to Pandya too.

It is not player’s fault that team is not able to find the replacements.

 

Jadeja is just fine at number 8.

Jadeja is literally a tailender with bat have a strike rate of 96 in world T20  matches. That is less than Ashwin's strike rate. That is not a complement for Ashwin. That is how mediocre Jaddu the "all rounder" is.  He literally killed the momentum of CSK every single time. Last season, this season.  He gets trolled non stop by his own fans for his pathetic stats and his selection for India. Yet you keep saying There is nobody better than Jadeja. Axar right in this IPL edition showed he is significantly better than  Jadeja.

 

Let me llst the bowling MVP ratings of this IPL among spinners. This is despite bowling uber spin friendly Chepauk pitch.

What is your point .Axar  is going to World Cup, Jadeja is going also as an allrounder. We saw what great things Axar did last World Cup. That is why Jadeja is selected . Either him or Axar will be filling left arm spinner’s role.

We have seen what Jadeja done over the last 15 years. And what he did for CSK.  India has more talent than ever in history. Plethora of all rounders available.

No it does not, when  we find more talented players than Jadeja they will replace him .

 

They are taking two best options for left arm spinners in the country.

He is going there as left arm spinner. When you find somebody better than him we will revisit his place. Stop going in circles.

Just beacuse you don't find that doesn't means other don't find. Others have already found many options as a total package.  Because you do not do any research on who is doing well in domestic, who brings more to the table as a player. Others do enough research not getting stuck with 15 year old mediocrity.

Brar is easily better than Fraud when it comes to T20.

Sai Kishore has tremendous utility in ODI format. 

 

Both of them have better skills as a T20 bowler than Dart machine Fraud.
