gattaca Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 We have someone in family who got targeted by phone fraud. They shared Aadhar card and signature. We contacted Aadhar help line but they mentioned it is a month long process. The fraud guy can open bank accounts, credit cards and SIM cards. Any other options?

These days biometric authentication is required to open bank account. Plus pan card is also necessary. BTW aadhar and signature are shared various times in a year. Also even lower class people has aadhar cards. So aadhar is not so private thing. gattaca 1

Seems like a new scam to target elderly. It done in phases first they will be scared about having a police complaint to divulge details of pan and provide signature and next day they call for OTP and bank details.

I am searching nanny for my nephew and I have 6-7 aadhar cards from agents few pan cards too. Even if you want pvc aadhar you have to share aadhar with printing shop. aadhars are very common and very easy to get. Why will anyone need to do scam when he/she can get it very easily. OTP and bank details are different thing . Edited May 15, 2024 by Singh bling gattaca 1
