We really need Jaiswal at the top of the order. Even a quick-fire 20-30 would be a great start for us instead of 1(3) or 5(6) or 9(9) type of innings. He can really take on SA pacers at the top and a left-right combo is likely to give us wides and freebies down the leg as Jansen and company have shown a propensity to lose control.

 

Plus if Kohli stays at the top, Jansen will get him in his first couple of overs, and he's a walking wkt at this point. He's batting like a tailender mindlessly flogging his bat around hoping he would connect some deliveries. Sad to watch and putting a lot of pressure on the team right from the start.

Any performing player instead of the two duds in Kohli and Dube would be a gift. We're literally playing with one hand tied behind our back.

Very hard for a batsman to come good in three consecutive t20. Matches...so let's assume Kohli goes as usual and Rohit fails .then pant is out of form and dube is dube... But then again by my pessimistic logic...Kohli should be back in runs..dube will most definitely do nothing..

Valid point. But what is dube doing. There have been cases like klr recent century in Asia cup etc. all teams first match is before game time etc.

 

So with dube we know what we get..totally useless. With jaiswal or samson ..we might as well get zero but there is a small chance of something better...
