I don’t think they will pick Jaiswal for the opening spot, can’t expect him to just walk in and play the final without any match time the entire tournament.

I know, but based on TM track record they won’t change the team. 5% chance they might drop Dube but Kohli is here to stay and open.

Irrespective of the surface Dube shouldn't be in the team. The TM chose to send Jadeja above him on a spinning wicket, speaks volumes.

No need to make changes. The combination is working and people are clear about their roles even if some individuals have had underwhelming world cups so far. India have been unbeaten in a variety of conditions and against a wide range of opposition outfits. No need to mess with things for the final unless someone gets injured.

Make Pant to open...let him hack few deliveries and if he can score 20-25 of 11/13 bowls...that will give us impetus.

 

Kohli should bat at no 3. Lets stop the experiment and not try to make a Sehwag out of him. He also is quite edgy these these as he feels pressure to bat in a certain way which isn't natural to him.

Is it required to play Jaiswal at 1 only? Is it set in the stone that openers can only open ? If KL rahul can play at 5 and can open, Rohit sharma can play at 5 in the past, Jaiswal can also play at 5. He is good enough player that he should be able to contribute much better than hack Dube.

It will not happen because selectors love that napunsak and Madarchod Kohli so much that they will allow him to play instead of any youngster.
