Yea.. It is not like Santa is the first spinner against who they looked like Fools. We have dozens of spinners making bunnies out of our super stars over the last decade or so

It is fair to say India is probably ranked 6th or 7th when it comes to playing spin. We are probably below Pakistan as well.

We should not have pitches that spin from day 1 ( or a Rank turner ). This can and does lead to a loss for India as opposition spinners trouble our batters. Best scenario for us is a normal pitch that starts spinning on day3. Both Ashwin and Jadeja are more effective that way. This also means lower quality spinners of opposition do not trouble our batters. 

 

Second India needs to post that good total during first Innings. And Since Rohit/Virat are not scoring anytime we need runs from them, and not even playing time we need our lower order to fire almost every time. When no.5 to no.8 do not compensate for top order failure, we lose. First innings score is secured when we get the 3rd to 5th day spinning tracks.

 

Also hate when a test is done in 3 days. these new generation kids do not have patience under difficult situation but would gladly use good batting conditions. Only pointing out new generation cause Rohit/Kohli are done either way.
