This “nationalist” government has ended your democracy and secular fabric. The effects of this dictatorship will start to show up decades from now.

India isn't controlled by military.

I am not saying that ICC data is incorrect but I’ve seen other ICC data in the past that contradicts this finding. I don’t think our personal anecdotal observation is required. It’s pretty much a commonly known fact that Pakistan vs India is the most watched game in and in the world, trumped only by some of India’s knock out games. If you looked at 10 last tournaments, that’s the overall conclusion.

Frankly speaking, Pakistan games are boring, Pakistani team is now full of average players. Pakistan vs Afghanistan is perhaps a better rivalry that you guys should focus on to.

Indian games vs NZ, Australia, England, RSA are competitive from purely cricketing POV. We achieve nothing while playing vs Pakistan...except Babar Azam they don't have any player who will even qualify for India A team.

Yet, team India has lost 2 of the last 4 t20s against Pak, and barely sneaked through in other 2.

as for ODIs, I agree that competition has been lop sided. However nowadays, Pakistan’s doing better in ODIs than T20s, so things might change.

The current Indian government is operating like a dictatorship. The way it has made media, election commission, Supreme Court compliant, it’s hardly a democracy anymore.

This ,the last word"propaganda" and yes "secularism"coming from a paxtani, lol

Many people in Pakistan were envious of India’s secularism including me. However, India is losing it now.

That's the nature of T20s, its extremely volatile. Where even Afghanistan can beat Australia or USA can bash Pakistan.

Longer the format, more it becomes a game of skill and endurance.

That's why Bangladesh hasn't been able to establish itself as a serious Test team despite playing for 30 years. Their recent victory against Pakistan is the only big win they have achieved.

No it doesn't, as long as people has the voting rights...it will be a democracy.

Pakistan is different, none of the democratically elected govt has ever completed its tenure. In India from last 25 years every govt has successfully completed its tenure and went for election.

That wont happen if your central govt is a dictatorship.

Nope. Wrong as usual. In the last 4 T20s, india won 3 and lost 1 against Pakistan.

But yeah, you can continue lying out of desperation.

Russia and North Korea hold election too.

India’s history is impressive but today, India’s not a secular democracy as it used to be. It’s a non-secular dictatorship by Modi under the mask of democracy. The systems have been compromised and it’s obvious to those of us who’ve seen it all before who know the difference.

There is no doubt India is one of the best teams if not the best team right now. It’s hard for any team to compete let alone a middling Pakistani team.

I have no hesitation in admitting that Pakistan is not a secular democracy today—no illusions there. Perhaps this gives me a clearer perspective because I’ve seen similar patterns unfold in Pakistan under Zia’s regime in the 1980s and beyond.

Step by step, institutions like the media, the election commission, and the Supreme Court have become increasingly subservient to the will of a messianic figure like Modi—a leader who has openly labeled millions of Muslim citizens as "ghuspetiyas" (infiltrators) and championed laws and policies that marginalize minorities while enforcing a majority-driven narrative.

This doesn’t resemble the secular India I grew up admiring.

Illegal infiltrators from bangladesh are ghuspetiyas and bringing ucc and abolishling Waft board doesnt undermine secularism but instead strength it

There is a difference, There is no opposition in NK or Russia or even China. Even USA is limited to 2 party system.

In India there isnt such limitation, we are a multi party system and the reason BJP/Modi are winning elections 3 three times in a row is because majority of the population believes in him and his vision for India.

Also, you're talking about compromised system but there are no proofs against it. The bubble of EVM was already burst down when none of the opposition political parties came for the trial despite election commission calling for it.

So all I can say is the information you have is incorrect and needs a re-evaluation at your end.

I am not blaming you for it though, information these days can be easily twisted and converted into a dis-information (I purposefully wrote dis instead of mis) to devalue the progress of a state.

That's why, the Indo-Pak matches these days don't have much potential from cricketing POV..sure, emotions can run high and advertisement agencies knows very well how to extract from it.

But as a pattern, for me personally, the emotions actually die down by the time we end first or second over. After that it just becomes another match for me.

While when I watch a game against Australia, NZ or England, something keeps me up till the end. Whether it's competitiveness or skill of the players, I don't know. But knocking down the stumps of Travis Head, Maxwell, Buttler or Conway gives me more joy than rattling the timber of Rizwan or Babar.
