Another thing to note is how Bangladeshi Hindus are considered Indians among the masses in India and SriLankan Hindus are not considered Indians among the masses in India. Says a lot. Don't you think? No one calls bangladeshi hindus as Indians...you're making a case due to CAA where explicitly the "minorities" of Pakistan, Afg and Bangladesh can be given a citizenship in India. Even Christains are a "minority" there. Many here including me actually asked to cut the Rangpur division from Bangladesh and make it a "Hindu" only state....just like "Jaffana" is a Hindu majority state in SL. Ancestoral India was anyway lot bigger than what we have...Afg, Pak, Ban, SL, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and some part of Vietnam too was under Indian influence. That chapter is over.

Self-sufficiency in 10 years is a must. I'd say get Rafales and a 5th gen fighter (Su-57 or the Korean one as well) until AMCA can be produced then get a sixth gen one (French, Japanese, British) until we produce our own 6th gen one by 2050. Thing is with China becoming completely self-sufficient we are the biggest buyers of arms so minus USA everyone should be open to sell with tech transfer. Vicks57 1

Last I heard, Godrej Aerospace wants to build Kaveri Engines 2.0 based on the learnings of first engine. You are right. Once Kaveri engine and AMCA is successful, we can just add as many jets as possible. This is more important than ISRO I think. We are yet to manufacture our own bullet train btw. BEML has said they are going to manufacture two train sets that can travel over 250 KMPH by 2027. We have a lot of things to accomplish Yes. 2025-2040 is very important. After that improvements will only be on lifestyle. The gap between 0.65 HDI and 0.8 HDI is WAY more than between 0.8 and 0.95. East Europeans don't really live much worse lives than Scandinavians. Tbh, India is on the right path. It's China which lets Pak have stuff beyond their capabilities.

India needs Su57 sooner than later in short term. Rafales are too few and our silver bullet at this point. Inaction could also be due to timing. All the passes are open in Himalayas for Chinks to do any misadventure on Eastern front. As I said it could be well laid out trap for India set up by either Chinks or US Deep State. Also India needs to ramp up its domestic Artillery numbers.. eliminate Chandigarh Import lobby and MoD babus. We are at near parity with Pakistan in artillery and rocket forces. This is unacceptable on each and every level. Only blue water India Navy is our saving grace atp. putrevus and deathmonger 1 1

Yeah need both. 2025-2035 Get some Rafales and get some Su-57s or KF-21s or even F-35 and push the pedal on Tejas Mk2s. 2035 onwards Once AMCA is done get some 6th gen fighters (Japan, UK, France) and work on own 6th gen for 2050. At this point should be able to have massive AMCAs and Tejas Mk2s to make Pak air force a non-factor. China basically gifts Pakistan weapons beyond it's capabilities at cheap prices to keep us weak. Imagine us getting F-35s cheap. Similar to that. Except we are not a pure US ally. Lone Wolf 1

I agree completely... Believe me if things were ideal within the armed forces and we had sufficient artillery rocket forces, UCAVs and Tejas Mk1 fighters in sufficient numbers ... Most of these things could have been done through domestic means as it real as it sounds. There would have been Pant removal ceremony of General Asim Munir and Shahbaz Sharif going on in streets of Pindi and LaWhore. This sarkar has been pretty lax when it comes to stuff like this. Foren maal is what our babus and import lobbies want for cut commission, kickbag. Wish General Bipin were alive. Paxtan would have been cooked and deep fried already.

I don't think we are not self reliant yet is the answer, if we are not self reliant, then you need to invest heavily on acquiring those weapons and Knowledge base. It is pathetic that India cannot overwhelm a country like Pakistan.

Issue with high intensity war is Chinese might keep supplying them stuff to sustain them. Their people will suffer but they are not a democracy and the army doesn't care. Like I said, only solution is become $10trillion USD economy by 2040 with a 0.75+ HDI, $7000+ USD pci with complete indigenous defense chain and overwhelm Pak completely. Here is the thing about Pak. The GDP differential is 12:1 but military the gap is more like 2:1 or 3:1. Helped ofc by the fact that they can get cheap Chinese arms at a fraction of what Europeans, Americans, Russians charge us. Ofc that shows up in other non military stuff where the gaps are often 50:1, 60:1 (stock market caps, tech unicorns, billionaires, car sales). Pak army doesn't give a * about their populace. Get the GDP differential to 18-20x by 2040 and with indigenous arms get the military gap to 8x or 10x. Ofc the non-military stuff will be like 150x, 200x then.

But w/o self sufficiency the GDP gap cannot manifest in the military differential. Pakistani get more bang for buck due to buying Chinese stuff while westerners charge us more. With self sufficiency the money spent for one Rafale can get us 4-5 Tejas MK2s. One F-35 4-5 AMCAs and so on. In cricketing terms, have such good infra that it doesn't matter who plays for Pak.

If China and USA are concerning them, then that makes India look innocuous to be frank and gives Pakistan full freedom to conduct proxy wars. It also reduces the bravado of ICF posters here to a mere rubble. Vietnam and Cuba never backed off and fought hard against Americans even when the odds were against them. I do not hate ordinary Pakistanis or wish for an all-out war with them, but if we cannot assure our citizens of basic safety then this country does not deserve your patriotism. putrevus 1
