India mogs Paxtan when it comes to missile tech & warfare.

Our LRAShM's anti ship missiles have hypersonic capabilities while Agni 5 and Angni P have MIRV capability.

Our shorter range Nirbhay and especially Pralay should be mass produced.  Pralay is cheaper carries more payload than Brahmos and is subsonic.

We can flatten out Pakistani border areas in an instant.

Maybe one of the reasons IAF lags behind is because we are so ahead in missile capability.

This also answers your artillary question. India has chosen Brahmos and Brahmos Mk2 across the three services  serve as a cheap artillary missile.

Nope Brahmos doesn't acts as MLRS .. per unit costs are 2million I think.

Pralay is actually our response to Fatah 2.  It costs 1/3rd the price of Brahmos with bigger range and Payload..

Thing with Missile warfare is it takes escalation ladder several notches above too.

Chinese has even more advanced missile capability but their Rocket forces are second to none.

We need to go into similar direction.

again, you are getting bogged down by classification. Geography dictates that all pak population centres are within 200km of the border.

Pralay, what is the speed?

It is India's first Subsonic cruise missile.. like American Tomahawks that were employed successfully in Afghan war.  Muricans still love their Tomahawks

500km+ range and higher payload capability than Brahmos.  Can be used tactically when needed without threatening nuclear threshold

Brahmos are silver bullets too costly to be used on mass scale.

Brahmos has a much bigger impact radius. Will be used to take out airfields etc. Dont just look at cost. A brhamos lands and achieves its objectives > 1000+ artillery shells.

Brahmos carries roughly 300kg max warhead whereas Pralay carries around 800kg max Payload at longer distances.

There is a reason Indian army has requested more of them for mass production.  Has lower trajectory and extremely difficult to intercept.

Cost always matters.   That's why Rocket artillery is preferred more

Also I was wrong Brahmos is hella expensive (5-9 million $ per unit) that's why Pralay and Nirbhay were developed... Coz there were serious question marks whether Brahmos can be deployed when it comes to Mass firing requirement.

Pralay was first seen this year's republic day Parade with a twin launcher and a 12×12 high mobility vehicle.

Didn't even know Turkey is a popular destination among Indian tourists.

Heard Pakistanis go to Turkey to become beggars.

Brahmos price tag went down quite a bit since its in mass production in the country now. I wouldnt mind unleashing every single brahmos on brokistan (but people say im a crude cuz there will loss of life). What about life of people who went just for vacation?. People forget loss of life for greater good is worth it. No one in their own country should be afraid to visit places for vacation. Its scary thought, if it was usa, they would have wiped brokistan off the map by now.

Price tag is pretty high still... Depends upon whether it is land sea, air or submarine launched.

In one billion dollars we can have 1000-1300 Pralay missiles for example.

Similar price tags on Indian defence forums.

The latest and most advanced BrahMos cruise missile, including the extended-range variant, is priced at approximately Rs 34 crore (around $4.85 million) per unit. This is a significant increase from earlier estimates of $3.2 million to $3.5 million for the standard BrahMos missiles.

also brahmos can be launced in all modes.

Yes that's why it's a silver bullet.  Land based rocket artillery should be cheaper and mass produced for barrages.

Hence Pralay was introduced.
