flamy Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 What are the last 2 or 3 times he has done anything of significance in a match against a non-minnow? ok, numer uno. :two_thumbs_up:

ludhianvi Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Suresh Raina seems to enjoy playing Pakistan in Pakistan. Even in one of the previous ODI tournaments in Pakistan, he did well. He used to get out after making 40s or 50s. I like his cover drives and that pull over mid-on. Check out his shots today. Some lovely driving http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?p=433619#post433619
satishg Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Raina and Rohit are the most talented of the current lot..Greg is not an idiot to have spoken on such high terms abt Raina..he knows talent wen he sees one..im very happy that Raina had to go thro that lean patch so early in his career..it will help him blossom as a mature cricketer now and he shd stake his claim in our test squad also..now Yuvi wud start feeling the pressure..pls Y4C im not saying Raina shd be considered ahead of Yuvi im jus saying the competition is heating up and maybe this wud lead our poster boy to be more successful at the test level..hope he does it..Yuvis flair is unbelievable :icflove:
theguyinallblue Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Raina has very useful left arm spin... and he has the range of strokes and Flair..which matches with Yuvi's.. plus he can play spin better than Yuvi... i think in Raina Dhoni has got a replacement for Yuvi..this will really help keeping Yuvi awake and on toes all the time..as Middle order has so many good contenders now...and with Badrinath waiting in the wings...the competition is really HOT.. Also the young crops are very good player of Pull and Hook...Rohit, Uthappa, Raina, Yousuf...they all look to play pull or hook..then to duck under the bouncer most of the time...
amits Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I somehow knew Shikhar Dhawan would be the replacement before I even opened the thread. Gotta post this on ATS! whats ats???
riya Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Some times i feel watching and enjoying cricket would have been much easier if there was no internet .One failure people make threads like how a particular player is a failure ,should be dropped etc.
flamy Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Some times i feel watching and enjoying cricket would have been much easier if there was no internet .One failure people make threads like how a particular player is a failure ' date='should be dropped etc.[/quote'] lol, but it is so much more fun. Somehow ppl find more time to talk online than they do in real life. Prolly has to do with multitasking as your work is mostly done on the comp too..

fineleg Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Raina But this does not excuse our bowlers and SHODDY FIELDING. Despite that, Raina and GG tried to see us through
SachDan Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Raina u beautyyyyyyyyy Deserves a permanent place in the playing X1.
Cricketics Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Good knock under pressure. it's not easy to chasse about 300 twice and he did that twice for India in a row with his big knocks.. first against pak and now against bangla good goin mate.. lage raho
satishg Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 well although the quality of the bowling attacks is very poor, his knocks deserves credit..but guys need not get too carried away with this..he is an exciting talent and v need him to perform well against big teams in bigger tournaments..anyway good stuff from Raina..im happy that he is finally doing justice to his talent..hehe Prince where are u mate..:D
nospam Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 frak just realised that i forgot to pick him for the super selector !!! stupid me :-'(
theguyinallblue Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 The quality of Bangladeshi bowling is definitely better than Pakistan...
