Gollum Posted September 6, 2025 Posted September 6, 2025 Again, Sinner vs Alcaraz final, 3rd straight major this year. SFs: Alcaraz beat Djokovic in straight sets, Sinner beat FAA in a high quality 4 setter. Sabalenka vs Anisimova in the women's side. Remember, Anisimova also made the Wimbledon final where she lose 0-6, 0-6 against Iga, she got her revenge in the QF this time.
Gollum Posted September 6, 2025 Author Posted September 6, 2025 (edited) Djokovic made all 4 GS SFs this year, stopped by Alcaraz last 3 times. Not bad for a 38 year old....only these 2 guys are stopping him from adding more trophies. Sinner massive favorite on this court vs the Spaniard, think he will win in 4. Anyway, privilege to get such an epic rivalry after Big 3 era. Edited September 6, 2025 by Gollum
Gollum Posted September 6, 2025 Author Posted September 6, 2025 Seems there are some fitness concerns with Sinner, hope nothing serious. With rain predicted and closed roofs, conditions will play faster and suit Sinner's game more. Too many variables. Despite the odd timings, can't miss this one.
BacktoCricaddict Posted September 6, 2025 Posted September 6, 2025 What is it about central/eastern Europeans and tennis success? Belarus, Serbia etc etc. Can't do much else in the world but dominate tennis

Gollum Posted September 7, 2025 Author Posted September 7, 2025 Sabalenka won her 4th major last night
Gollum Posted September 7, 2025 Author Posted September 7, 2025 11:30 bol ke abhi tak start nahi kiya, kal kaam bhi hai
Gollum Posted September 7, 2025 Author Posted September 7, 2025 Federer the last guy to defend his USO title, way back in 2008. Historically winning B2B USOs has been very tough, end of season fatigue, open field (unlike grass/clay which favors specialists). History against Sinner here.
Stan AF Posted September 7, 2025 Posted September 7, 2025 This is like watching an one sided french open final from like 2 decades ago.
Gollum Posted September 7, 2025 Author Posted September 7, 2025 Alcaraz playing like a dream, peak Federer vibes. But he also won Wimbledon first set, once Sinner finds his rythm he become unplayable.
Gollum Posted September 7, 2025 Author Posted September 7, 2025 Alcaraz is prone to these mental lapses. Hope he regains focus.
Gollum Posted September 7, 2025 Author Posted September 7, 2025 Sinner's first serve % letting him down badly, reminds me of Federer's struggle in 09 AO final.
Austin 3:!6 Posted September 7, 2025 Posted September 7, 2025 Alcaraz played at a different level today
Austin 3:!6 Posted September 7, 2025 Posted September 7, 2025 Sinner and Alcaraz story is a great reminder of how sports is for youngsters. Djokovic aged 38 cannot compete with these two young guys anymore
