Boland would have bowled him again even if the catch was not taken properly.

In those conditions, if Aussies had given each of our batters an extra life, we would still have lost. That was a massacre, one of the most one sided ICC final wins I can remember. Plus we were so lcuky in that match, won the toss, Rahane had 4 lives in the 1st innings.

Lacks power Jemima. Puts too much effort to get power in shots

She lacks the power but she's a very intelligent batter. Without her innings we would have lost the league game against NZ.

Next women's ODI WC most probably in Australia. They last lost a match in 2017 SF, they may be unbeaten till 2033.

Aussie men were undefeated in 34 consecutive WC games from 1999 super 6 stage to 2011 WC group game.

India isn't matching such records even if all SENA teams stop playing cricket lol.

Her game is not power based. Timing and smartness. Shefali has all thr power. What is the use?

That match was lost when we did not have Bumrah and Pant and had an aging batting lineup.

Best thing was India defeated Australia at home without those two and a crap batting lineup due to Axar/Ashwin in Delhi. The loss to NZ was going to happen sooner or later. Thankfully it happened vs NZ and not Aus lol.

That 2nd innings was total horrendous batting by aussies in Delhi, even if they had aim the target of 200,they would have won the series.

Tbh, these are just excuses. Both Pant and Bumrah played 21 WTC F, did nothing....in fact Bumrah went wicketless in those conditions.

Aussies also missed Hazlewood in the 23 final. Anyway they are a team that lost Warne on the eve of 2003 WC, Brett lee on the eve of 07 WC, and won both those tournaments without dropping a game. Elite champion's mentality.

Feels like one of those matches where India will get close but won't be able to cross the line.

Even men's team won't chase 330 in a world cup semi final. India  failed to do damage control.

Even CT semi was too close for comfort against such a crap team.

Kohli played a blinder. And Iyer, Axar, Hardik, KL so clutch. Iyer's runout of Carey was the difference IMO, otherwise target would have been 280.....such a gem of an ODI player Iyer is.

Conditions and opponents in 21 and 23 were different though.

21 was prime for NZ in those conditions. Oval 23 was a lot flatter compared to 21.

Pant had already scored loads of runs vs Australia in 18 and 20-21 in Oval 23 like conditions vs those bowlers. He had failed in NZ in 2020 vs the 2021 NZ final bowlers.

Simply put, if India wins this, will be the greatest ever white ball win by ANY Indian team in history. Should be given an open bus parade.

Yes. She would have converted a lot more boundaries with a bit more power

When they were 265 for 6 india should have been much more defensive. Indian bowling unit lacks defensive bowling options on death overs.
