Pakistan should have taken its own call and cancelled the participation if they didn't want to come to India/SL. Hockey tournament they cancelled due to same reason.Why BCCI have to bend to their needs?

BCCI is govt and they are not putting anything over lives of citizens. BCCI is sports body, its first duty is to protect their players and forfeiting matches hurts their players.Forfeiting helps Pakistan more than it hurts them.

 

When  India refused to travel to Pakistan in CT everyone was okay with it. They are just returning the favor which is their right.

BCCI's first duty is to serve the nation's interest which is to not engage with Pakistan. Players can be compensated elsewhere. Matches have been forfeited in the past so its not a new thing.

 

India didn't travel to Pak due to security concerns. Pak is a terror state that attacked Sri Lankan cricketers too. Meanwhile Pak team were happy to travel to India for WC 2023 but threw tantrums here. BCCI could have stood its ground atleast.

If you lost your dad, mom, brother spouse, son, daughter in a Pahalgam like attack. Would you want the next match with Pakistan to go on, knowing that it will benefit Pakistan?

How do you stop playing them in a tournament. Do you want to them forfeit the matches.????

 

They were happy to travel in 2023 and they expected India to travel in 2025 CT but when India refused to do so, they also have stopped travelling to India that is their right. It is not one way street,  what is so hard to understand. BCCI has no ground to stand.

What is the solution? You don't play Asia cup then what you don't play world cup also.

Let's first take a stand on Asia cup or rather we should have.

 

Instead to play them, we shifted the venue and also put ourselves in the same group to get 3 games.

We have examples of multiple countries who have successfully boycotted all sports from their enemies.

 

Just admit you don't value Indian lives and are living in your privileged bubble and just want to see cricket no matter what.

Not playing pakistan is not opting out of the tournament. We weild enough power to play with the other countries. 

 

And many powerful countries have rallied to get attackers banned. Cricket itself banned South Africa. Again we have clout to get pakistan banned by threating to boycott every event. We don't need to opt out of anything, just the threat will make others fall in line.
