Priyansh looks to muscle the ball from awkward positions through legside which makes him a hack. He is still pretty young. Hope he too gets a training session with Yuvaraj who can correct his batswing and mistakes. Muscle is needed to hit from the crease,he's raw doesn't know how to minute changes on different types of surfaces We need muscle power too in our setup Tillu and tapandrun 2
Need4Speed Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 Well this side doesnt a well rounded batting side and even in bowling too.. in any case this is an opportunity to provide them exposure..even though wicket isnt ideal from T20 perspective.. There is some possibility though if we reach finals and play against Pak again we may defeat them due to some individual brilliances..as only individual brilliances may give them winning chances..our side doesnt look well rounded/covered..atleast by the way they played..
Lone Wolf Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 Bowling was also shocking. Yash Thakur is beyond mediocre.. folks like Prince Yadav should have been preferred who can bowl fast yorkers. Gurjapneet should be behind Gurnoor in Pecking order but CSK quotas are always first priority. Gurjapneet is as floaty as they come. Suyash was okay.. not a lot of runs to play with and with rubbish bowling by Pacers. Ubaid looked sharp (surprisingly)b& has talent.. that Aziz Guy has tape ball skills but little raw Talent. Maaz Sadakat is a good prospect for them.. better option than Ayub with no power. tapandrun 1

Agreed... Pakistan has selected a well rounded squad for these slowish conditions unlike us. We didn't expect this at all. We are also stretched thin with so much cricket happening home with Ranjit Trophy, India A vs SA A list A games, test series, U19 tri series. Coaching staff looks dehati on a paid vacation.. this is inept BCCI for you. Gurnoor should have been there over both Gurjapneet or Yash Thakur. Need4Speed 1

Wouldn't have made a difference they needed 44 off friggin 11 overs at that moment. Match would have finished in 15th over instead of 13th

Ind has a v.decent side for the level of the compitition. Pak batters all 4-5 are openers -- Naeem, maaz, yasir, faiq all top 4 are opners. The wk Gori has only 1 six in his t20 career. Pak bowlers bowled a good line and length had some lively pace to keep batters guessing interms of pace and bounce. Ind bowler did nothing, Ind spinners' ball was not gripping as much. In batting apart from Dhir every1 had issue. And once Dhir and Vaibhav got out, Nehal and Jitesh got stuck not able to hit 4/6 and build pressure on them selves. Nehal does not have off-side game and v.limited leg-side game as well. He can be easily contained. He played in similar fashion in last emerging asia cup too.
tapandrun Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 When we say some1 is a hack, what does it mean ?? What does it mean for a t20 batter ?? Any1 who has developed off-side game and legside game is not a hack. Any1 able to play spin and pace is not a hack. PPl would be calling Head a hack. If you need to play at v.high rate you will be required to try to hit every ball. There is no pick and chose. In such cases batter will miss some miss-hit some and connect some. With Aus and WI (of past) batters they have advantage of having good power game, their mishits goes for boundaries. If Abhishek would not have produced the same kind of results ppl would have been calling him hack too. Some1 who plays away from body and throws the bat around. As ppl suggested hitting from crease is a req, in modern day t20 cricket. Need to have developed power game, which takes time to achieve. rollingstoned 1

Is our pace bowling cupboard so bare?

Have seen him in red-ball targets stumps. May be t20 is not his best format. But this Emerging Asia cup is low end of a tournament, Ind FC bowlers should be able to perform there , he has IPL exp. too. Lord 1

They send 1-2 players who they think can transition to Ind side and rest they send any1 and every1, just that those any1 and every1 can not over shadow the player they wanted to select. It like confidence building measure. Ex:::: Last time they sent Kambooj, Slalam and Aquib (up) as they wanted to transition Kambooj into Ind side they selected 2 other bowlers with v.low potential for that time. Though I think this is a v.decent T20 side for the tournament, and on batting if they would have played that Aisa cup they would have Played Ind senior team in the Finals. These are v.good t20 batters, they need to sort out nehal, he has habit of getting stuck. Edited November 17, 2025 by tapandrun Lord 1

Is our pace bowling cupboard so bare? Yash isnt that bad,he does overuse slower ones He has the ability to crank it upto high 140s but chooses not to as if there's a written rule to bowl 5 slower ones in an over for him Harshit too over does it and gets hit, they don't use their stock deliveries much, maybe they don't know which one is their stock ones due to so many experiments with the ball Apart from this Yash(Harshit too) isn't fit either Lord and tapandrun 1 1

Lone Wolf Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 India is not winning against BD A in Semi final. They look pretty decent especially the bowling attack. Their spin attack is superior than Pak and our guys can't play half decent spin.
