Chakdephatte Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Even Jadeja isn't the same bowler. There is this Sai Kishore with the ability to be a test spinner (not Jadeja level batting) but he is more focused on T20s

He became a force post his 30s, but earlier by then we had Ashwin Jadeja combo to take the things forward. Plus I also heard that he had some issues with MPCA (wc to be corrected)...probably ruffled the feathers of someone in power, post which he moved to different team. And, the IPL is another metric where he failed to make an impact. Infact IPL has played a key role in shaping our spinners. There are very few off spinners left in IPL, even the traditional leggies are becoming a rarity. Fast spinners or SLA's are the flavour of the season. But things have changed over the last few years. We are not producing patient test class spinners with lot of overs under the belt. Dubey, Mulani and a couple of other guys do well. We are not producing classical test bowlers anymore. These kind of slow loopy deliveries are not seen anymore. Ashwin's video is analyzing al the technical difference between Indian spinners and SA spinners.

Made a career with a century at no. 9 but never contributed with ball. We tried a Shahbaz Nadeem who looked ordinary at debut. Should try Jajaj for sure INCORRECT. He was underbowled and got 16 wickets in 6 tests at just 29 bowwling avg along with handy batting down the order including the hundread against a strong England side with Alastair Cook et al in 2016-2017 series. He was unlucky to have a parallel career along with Ashwin. He is nearing 36 and still has 2-3 years of cricket left. JALAJ or HIM should be given opportunity in the home series. Sooda Posted January 26 Posted January 26 It'd be a mistake now to go for Jalaj Saransh Jain on the other hand.. Consistent Ranji performances. Unlike Sundar has honed his craft with years of toil. Done alright for zone teams. Decent bat
