rangeelaraja Posted February 26 Posted February 26 (edited) The surest way to improve NRR is to post a massive score batting first and win by a big run margin. Batting second and trying to chase 160/170 in 14/15 overs is much tougher. Given that the Chennai wicket is touted to be a pata wicket, we need the luck this time to win the toss and bat first - rest assured Zim would do the same if they won the toss. Our luck with tosses in crucial games has beed *ed up. Edited February 26 by rangeelaraja
tapandrun Posted February 26 Posted February 26 (edited) If SA wins vs WI. all Ind needs to ensure they win rest of their games. If WI wins the the NRR will matter alot. The good thing here is Ind is fast and big scoring side, and WI and Zim are the 2 teams who no one said will make it to 2nd/SF round, so not the strongest at this moment. Sean Bradley Posted February 26 Posted February 26 The way Ngidi bowled vs us, it would be mighty tough for any opposition to get him away. If South Africa plays finals, they have pitch perfect bowling for the conditions at Panauti. I am assuming South Africa would win against Windies today. Then its for South Africa to choke in the finals again. But i have a feeling that this is South Africa's world cup to lose given the conditions at Panauti. RAZPOR 1

Every team has been sketchy in this wc so far as expected its t20I , SA could have lost the game vs Afgn it was double super-over game. NZ bowlers consistently gone for 170+ runs in this tournament vs every team but in this game they pulled back everything. Only WI has been v.good so far.

West Indies are due a failure and lets hope that it comes today.
