Vipraj, why would you want another bits and pieces cricketer

Need someone to replace Axar and he's the only one who's close enough. He can hit and that's a rare quality when majority of our so called all-rounders are like Jadeja or Sundar who aren't big hitters. Plus Vipraj is a leg spinner. If he can bowl fastish leg spinners for 2-3 overs in T20s and score a 12 ball 25, that would be amazing. You need depth in LOIs and Vipraj seems to have enough quality about him.

Suryavanshi is ready now. If we keep him in domestic too long we'll lose him. He needs to be given his intl debut this year. Same with Vipraj and Riyan. Need to get them into the system in place of Jadeja and Sundar. And if Rasik Salam performs he can be part of the pace attack as we need pacers.

I felt he has way too many areas that need improvement. I dont see his doing well this season. Lets just hope i am wrong cause he was brutal in that final. So exiting to watch him.

Neither batting not his bowling is convincing

If you want a replacement of Axar, then Manav Suthar or Nishant Sindhu are the right options.

Suthar is a classical LA, he is a better bowler than a batsman.

Sindhu is a top 4/5 batter...bowling wise bowls flatter trajectory. Batting lacked power hitting but in recent games he has shown he has added six hitting.

Let's see what they do in IPL. We have seen Vipraj impress in his debut season last year. If Manav Suthar, Nishant Sindhu or anyone else for matter can outperform Vipraj, they can nail the spot. But I haven't seen the same potential in anyone else.

IMO same with Axar. You can't pick him just for his batting or his bowling alone but as a package he provides balance. Same with Vipraj. Not everyone can be Pandya level all-rounder. IMO Vipraj is one of the very few who can make an impact.

He's way ahead of his peers and that stands out when he plays. Playing at senior level may tighten his game a lot quicker than continuing to play at lower levels where he can continue to succeed without learning much. Bi-laterals are perfect for bringing in exceptional talents. I wouldn't bring in all and sundry using this approach but Suryavanshi is clearly a special talent and deserves this approach.

Vipraj isn't even best among the other options

What exceptional batting has he done last season barring a 20 vs MI and a 39 vs KKR, nothing much to leapfrog others?

Bowling was just about okay with 8 scalps

Lol,no point comparing Axar with someone like Vipraj

Not comparing but finding the next best one if he's injured or goes away. Sindar is not it and I haven't seen anyone else who can take the role other than Riyan Parag or Vipraj. If someone comes along who's better, great. But I didn't see anything from anyone else last IPL and let's see what folks do this year.

Hope they don't look at someone like him

He needs more to show

May the best player win as Vipraj isn't a shoo-in. But others have to perform to catch selectors' eyes and make an impact.

What an innings from Suryavanshi. Sure had a bit of luck but even then.

The guy's special and literally every batter gets some luck especially in T20s. The difference is what do they do once they get that slice of luck. Suryavanshi is one of the very few batters who can finish off the match in the PP itself and is even more destructive that Abhishek and seems to have a better game. His base is so stable when he hits whereas Abhishek is out of position often resulting is shots which don't have much power.

He deserves to be in the scheme of things ASAP and if he continues to impress in shorter formats can be the left field selection for the ODI WC as the guy has a penchant for scoring fast and big!

I meant plans for Indian team and needs to be part of the setup. India A is below his talent level and he needs to be fast-tracked ASAP.

He should be played in all of the T20I series this year - give him a run of 10-15 T20Is. Plus wouldn't mind seeing him in ODIs as well along with Jaiswal, Sai, Tilak, Ishan, Parag. Give all these guys a run in a couple of series and select the two which impress the most. We can't go in with an old, jaded lineup in the WC and need to find a couple of young batters, preferably left-handers.

No need to put vaibhav in Odis or any1 else for that matter.Ind batting is locked for this wc need to work on it now and fill the gaps. Need Lh batter in middle order jaiswal should be able to fit that role and can be back-up opener which opens up 1 more slot in the side.

rohit, gill, kolhi, iyer, kl, pandaya are locked for odi wc there are no 2-ways around it, there is no point in throwing some1 based in t20i/ipl performance into odi wc team.

the players has to be selected from vht+ranji and test , there is no good 40-50 if they are not playing last few overs. Need batters who can score big 100s and that too in the loop-game after game.
