Introducing ICF Blogs for All

The lynx-eyed amongst you wouldn't have missed the appearance of a somewhat shy and rather scrawny looking stranger in the forum lists- the Indiancricketfans blogs. Yes folks, she's here, the beuatiful miss bloggs. I'd been pining for her for a while now, and thanks to Ravi's genius and Ludhianvi's rather scurrilous suggestions, the lady has metamorphosed into reality. You can admire her looks by clicking on the "Blogs" icon at the top of this page. Notice her beuatiful hues, imbued by Ravi, the curvy and well endowed body and the details, that are just beginning to fill in her teenage bosom. The good news is that she belongs to all of us- every man-jack on this board (or even the women, if they are "so" inclined). All you have to do to start your own blog is to go to the Blogs page, click on Add Content, and then Add Blog, and you are off and running. I have already had a fling or two. I think she likes me, bloggy. To add new entries to your blog, please go to "My Blog", and click on "Add new content". And there, she'll put on curves before your very eyes. If you want to comment on somebody else's mistress, oops, blog, simply hit the reply or "add comment" button. It really is as simple as that. This lady hath no frills. The lazy among you, who can't be bothered to have a shave even on a date, can check out the new entries on the blog through the feed that now comes through on the forums, right here. http://www.indiancricketfans.com/forumdisplay.php?f=28 You'd have to go on to the blog site to reply though. There are some shortcuts you simply don't take with a lady. So what do you put on your blog? Each to his own, but personally, I like to put slightly more serious stuff that would look out of place on the forums or may not have universal relevance. I tend to use it more as a diary, to reflect what I was thinking on a particular day or week, the topical events that excited me or made me sit up and take notice, particularly if it changed the way I thought or acted, and certainly if it added to my knowledge. Used in this way, your blog then becomes your own repository of considered thoughts, a web log of ruminations that you might one day look back upon and marvel, perhaps at your prescience, or perhaps the way you had felt then. If you are a predictor of trends, a soothsayer of people or cricketer's greatness, you might even want to resurrect old entries on your blog and showcase them for others as proof of your far-sightedness, instead of having to delve under mountains of posts on the forums . I wouldn't confine myself to cricket, although it does deserve pre-eminence, and is destined to be the most popular theme. Feel free to blog on just about anything under the sun, as long as it doesn't make Miss bloggs blush, of course! I'd also try and avoid duplication. If you have posted something on the forums, it's best not to put it in your blogs, as it'd ultimately turn people off from clicking on your blog. The good news is that Bloggy carries ICF's fame with her. You are assured a high google rating for a successful blog. I started my own humble blog sometime back on the forums. I ran a cursory search under "Dhondy's blog" on google recently. It figured pretty high, something my now decrepit, similarly named, albeit rather neglected blog on space provided by google, failed to achieve. Don't be deterred if you do not get replies at first. A blog is not a forum, so there may be less interaction at first. If you consistently blog quality stuff, recognition will come. Don't wait for that intangible inspiration to start blogging, though. The important thing is to update your blog regularly, say at least once a week. You wouldn't want the lady to be wooed by others while you are away, would you? That's enough talk. Happy blogging, guys & gals!:icflove:

:two_thumbs_up: Kudos to ludhianvi and Ravi to make this happen and for Dhondy to relentlessly pursue the duo into making it a reality. Not much to be added to Dhondy's OP here which has covered basically everything.

Good initiative Dhondy and good on you to force other staff members on introducing this blog system. thanks to ravi and ludhianvi for working on it and making it a scuess.

What a brilliant OP Dhondy! I like how you named it Bloggy :D Oh btw, all I did was insist Ravi to go the dark side. Thanks Varun:winky: Kudos to Ravi. Now the real contribution will need to come from the users ofcourse to make it successful, as we, the users are the main contributors to the site. Hopefully, this will be good for the site:icflove: .

Amazing hold you got on putting things in words Dhondy, that's as best an introduction as I've ever read :two_thumbs_up:
