I question the very idea of "purity." Language, cuisine, culture, traditions ... everything has mixed, grown, fused and developed into what we see today. That something, a language in this case, is devoid of any foreign influence. I'm not an etymologist, but I wouldn't be surprised if many of the words you used had their roots in some Prakrit, Ardhamaghadi and Avestan. The word Hindi itself has Persian roots.

Shuddh Hindi is often referred as "Sanskrtizied Hindi"...where it has its own vocabulary (or vocabulary from its root language) for almost all the words. There will be influx of words in the languages here and there, specially in the border areas of the states. And thats acceptable, coz language will keep on evolving over the years. Even English has included the words path, avatar, guru etc in its vocab...which are deeply influenced (if not 100%) from Sanskrit.

What you wrote earlier is Sanskritized Hindi not and not Shudh Hindi. Sanskrit was around for nearly 2000+ years before its near extinction. Obviously, it would have undergone massive mutations. Sanskrit also has heavily borrowed from Avestan and Ancient Greek. Edited August 12 by Mariyam
