theguyinallblue Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 OK..no one knows the name of the player..but whosoever it is...he must not get scot free... cricket is already too maligned with ball tempering, match fixing, pitch tempering, drug abuses and physical assaults...
Bumper Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Guys, please stop naming the player, As if you guys had been there & seen it all. As if this is not enough, some are even suggesting that the unnamed player must be punished. So stop speculating on the player, As if you are privy to any more information than the public.

THX_1138 Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Wasn't WADA involved in the Akhtar/Asif Nandro fiasco before the WC? What happened there? WADA had no jurisdiction as was determined by the international court at geneova what addresses sports related grieviances. Furthermore, any speculation as to the identity of the players is pathetic since the tests, conducted by WADA were conducted over samples that are indentified merely by a batch or serial number; the list of the corresponding players and their serial numbers is kept secret till the second sample is tested. only thereafter does the court begin its legal proceedings, and that is when one can expect the player's identity to be revealed. i appreciate how IPL is following procedure. and make no mistake, the player was tested during the IPL, a signatory of the WADA. this person is about to get canned for a minimum of 2 years! be he pakistani or india, or australian...
Texy Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 what about dilhara? what about Shane warne? what about Wasim Akram? oh wait he's a commentator now....
beetle Posted July 14, 2008 Author Posted July 14, 2008 According to TV news...Akhtar wasn't even tested. What a joke!:whatchutalkingabout Random testing is ok ...but how do you not test a known offender coming out of injury, who was allegedly carrying syringes in his bag........
beetle Posted July 14, 2008 Author Posted July 14, 2008 If they don't know the name...how can they say he is an asian pacer?
kabira Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 they are referring to Mohd. Asif. I also saw in one news flash, it is Mohd. Asif only, and he used to play for Delhi.
