My guess is Badoni gets backed coz he obviously has selectors liking plus he is a rare lower middle order bat they think who is capable.

The bar is very low.

 

Most domestic batters are top order bullies with brittle technique and strokeplay.

Samad has high pace game but he has never kicked on despite having the talent.
