Why is Dhruv Jurel playing as a pure batsman in our test team?

Jurel is wk batter, does he have temperament of a batter. Looks like he has all the attributes but with allrounders and wk-batters what matters is batting temperament.

 

They do well when being picked for as multi-skilled players but does not do well when picked on/for 1 skill. He may either have look himself and has to be communicated that we are looking you as specialist batter and now prepare like on.

In this test series Jurel is playing as a specialist batter. That's his dedignated role.

 

Donned the gloves for a few overs as Pant is injured. When he batted, he did not know that he would keep.

 

But we have got a 115 not out and 51 in 3 innings from him.

 

So it looks like he is training his mind as a pure batsman.
