She had a fake passport. They later discovered that the woman had paid the MP 30 lakhs.....yes, that big an amount to migrate to Canada. What I fail to understand is, if she had that kind of money, why cant she lead a decent life in India? 30 lakhs is not a very small amount. An illegal immigrant's life is always miserable. She can never find a decent job and can never go to the police if in trouble. She can be caught and deported any time. Whats this obsession with migrating?

Ram Posted July 17, 2008 Author Posted July 17, 2008 Illegal immigration happens everywhere, but what is surprising is the scale and ease with which it happens. It seems like there atleast couple of thousand illegal workers in the UK. And in one of the videos, it was quite surprising to see how all an illegal alien has to do is to go to Southhall, stand under the trees for 30 mins, someone will come and ask them if they need work, they them in a van, give them work and pay them 35 pounds a day. BTW, if it is THIS easy for people to move into the UK from places like France, Portugal etc with fake documents, this could potentially have serious security implications. Frankly, I wouldnt be surprised if the next dead or apprehended terrorist came into the UK using this route.
