punjabi_khota Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 KKD has a better technique than MSD but then that alone doesn make him a better batter than Dhoni..Dhoni applies himself even wen he is not at his best and he is constantly improving batting wise..like the time he saved us in Lords last year and then the imp partnership with VVS at perth in the second innings..and he can get runs quickly as well..So Dhoni with his limited technique has been really good.. And what do you make of his Aussie disaster. ?
satishg Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 And what do you make of his Aussie disaster. ? well thats wat i meant rite..he was sorted out by the Aussies and plus it was his first tour but he played a crucial role in the Perth Victory..his partnership with VVS set us that big target..this man is a fighter give him a challenge he will not back off and i really admire that quality in Dhoni..
Kumar Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Excellent example that! Punjabi, Australia wasn't exactly a disaster for MSD. He kept brilliantly and played a crucial knock at Perth. Be mindful that it was his first trip there. Even Dravid sucked in 1999, remember? exactly. Besides gilchrist, one of the best wk in histroy, started his test debut when he was 28, then he really started to get used to it. When he did start he did fantastically well, maybe done still needs to prime in tests and needs more ranji performances with first class cricket.
Ram Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 For every knowledgable soul on this forum as claimed by you' date=' there are 10 ignorant fools like me who cannot separate facts from fiction. And we fools would still vote. Polls, therefore, cannot be taken seriously.[/quote'] I quite dont understand what could be so complex about the question 'Whose wicket-keeping skills are better? MSD's or KKD's?', that you have summon deep levels of intellect and knowledge to answer it. Most people here know the answer already. And the Sehwag, Bradman poll was done in tongue-in-cheek anyway!
Desi Cartman Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 i demand a poll to settle this issue. Also it would be helpful if u guys can post couple of videos each to support your candidate .. we the" janta" will then decide who is right :icflove:
Mr. Wicket Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 DINESH KARTHIK SPILLS A REGULATION CATCH OFF KUMBLE! \ That too, Mahela Jayawardene. Calling dsr, calling dsr.
Guest Hiten. Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 LMAO. I just came in to post this. Good sh*t Salil. Dhondy, Shwetabh would be more livid than AK himself :giggle:
Chaos Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 DINESH KARTHIK SPILLS A REGULATION CATCH OFF KUMBLE! That too, Mahela Jayawardene. Calling dsr, calling dsr. :hysterical::D:--D:two_thumbs_up:
mhr123 Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Kumble to DPMD Jayawardene, no run, dropped by Karthik. Kumble is angry. It turned from short of length and Mahela went for the cut and got a bottom edge and Karthik got up too early and couldn't hold on to the chance. Dravid at the slip lets out a cry of agony, Kumble turns back quickly and looks pretty disappointed. Not much deviation; he should have held it.:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Can't see DSR
King Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Karthik is not even half as good as Dhoni behind stumps. It's not for fun he was dropped as a wicket keeper from the team. Whenever Dhoni and Karthik played in a test match, it was Dhoni that kept the wicket. It's no secret the Indian team knows whom they prefer as wicket keeper.
Guest Hiten. Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Not sure he actually nicked it! Kumble to DPMD Jayawardene, no run, dropped by Karthik. Kumble is angry. King Tendulkar Posted July 24, 2008 Author Posted July 24, 2008 What did snicko say! Looking at it live I am not convinced he hit it:D
Mr. Wicket Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Not sure he actually nicked it! Try to open your eyes. That might help.
DomainK Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Karthink dropped one....so what? Some people would rather see the Indian team hurt than admit anything that remotely suggests that Dhoni is any good. Some people live just to bash Dhnoi and support anything that is anti-Dhoni.
Cricketics Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Dravid is a better wicket keeper then this Karthik
