graphic23
All the stats in these threads are amazing. We're lucky that Sehwag is in our team. :-) The last stat is probably the most significant in showing what sort of a mindset Veeru bats with. Link to comment
Guest dada_rocks
This thread is entirely based on an assumption that Sehwag has a bad technique. What if thats actually wrong? :D One shouldnt mistake Sehwag's attacking instincts for 'bad technique'. If his swashbuckling strokeplay is the actual building of his big innings, then their foundation is his good technique. Sehwag has just proved a tight good technique and attacking strokeplay is need not be mutually exclusive. Precisely , people should watch his defensive strokes to gauge how good his technique is..I know he doesn't defend often but when he does he is picture perfect.. You don't draw comparison with sachin without good technique Link to comment
Guest dada_rocks
P{rem se boliye vengsakrakr ki g@#$%d mein danda for dropping sehwag and playing him two match too late in aussie land last time Link to comment
Cricketics
P{rem se boliye vengsakrakr ki g@#$%d mein danda for dropping sehwag and playing him two match too late in aussie land last time and at same time kudoz to Anil Kumble for taking Sehwag to Australia.. he must have predicted that in 4th adelaide test we might need someone to save our @ss... and in perth test we might need someone to remove the opening bowlers of Australia out of their fiery spell pretty quickly for the first time in the series.. from nowhere he got sehwag back into the team. just wish he could have played him too in the first couple of tests Link to comment

It was also baffling that Sehwag didnt play against the porkis at home. Link to comment

cochise
It was also baffling that Sehwag didnt play against the porkis at home. Yes indeed...considering he averages 90+ against Pak, it was an order of magnitude more baffling that he didn't play against them. Our prior selectors appear to be like Oz selectors now. cochise
forget about playing him against pakistan, on overseas tour.. that of England.. he should have gone big time.. Yes of course...but if you have to look at one example of extreme stupidity...is dropping a player who averages 90+ against Pak in a series against them. What a champion effort our clowns for selectors put in! Link to comment
