WRONG! You have the WI touring India in 1983-84 when he scored 121' date=' 90 and 236*. He was the only shining star in the that series for India. There were a few others, I have to dig up[/quote'] The ONLY shining star?? Either you are cricket ignorant or plain stubborn to prove your point. Kapil Dev had better strike rate, wickets/per match etc than Holding, Garner, Roberts etc. He was second only to Marshall. Colonel Vensarkar had a pretty solid series too. So I suggest you brush up on your knowledge. And yes please feel free to read my thread again, I had clearly mentioned OVERSEAS where Sunny failed under Kapil. Now feel free to go back and complain about that part?

sehwag is a MUCH BETTER TEST MATCH BATSMAN than gavaskar avg of 51+ with a sr of 77+ says it all and that too as an opener. even his presence in the xi is enough to demoralise bowling attacks & when he gets going, he makes a big score. also, he scores his runs in tests faster than what most batsmen score in odis. his big innings usually come at over 85+ sr and some of them even faster than a run-a-ball

Dravid ahead of Tendulkar? strange.
Dravid was more consistent than tendulkar forn about 4 or 5 year period and much much more. Tendulkar is better as he has been consistent most of his life in tests, even if it is at a young age ie 23 or an old age ie now. dravid on the other hand wasnt consistent as SRT wehn he was around the same age and now, hes in no mans land really compared to SRT. Probably people are saying that cause he has more of a temperament towards th test arena, and when gets going, hes a legend in himself. Hes got everything a TEST batsmen wants, but SRT wins.

Dravid is certainly a fantastic batsman but his inability to dominate bowling attack pulls him down. May be if Rahul had not gone through this prolonged slump then he could have been considered as ONE of the great batsmen but not any more.

Yuvraj Singh is the greatest batsman that ever lived. Let's compare the scores of all these great batsman in their last matches; Sehwag - 35 Tendulkar - 14 Dravid - 68 Gavaskar - 96 Bradman - 0 Yuvraj - 172 I think we have a winner. People need to stop living in the past and realise that at this point in time, Yuvraj is the greatest batsman in the history of the game

My list of all time great Indian test batsman; Dravid Sachin Sehwag p.s: special mention of Sunil Gavaskar for being the best individual test batsman of India, in a team sport called cricket.
